Description

The Falcon V3 is the latest addition to Tacticon’s line of magnified optics. The Falcon V3 is a 3-9x32mm scope built to provide mid to long range capability. 3X being minimum magnification, 9X being maximum magnification, and 32mm being the objective lens diameter. The second focal plane (SFP) mil- dot reticle has 3 different illuminated colors to switch between depending on which color your eyes pick up better (red, green, or blue). Reticle can be switched to default black color if preferred by turning off illumination. For any time of day shooting there are 3 different brightness settings to choose from as well. Every component related to this scope comes standard in the packaging. We provide you with the sunshade, lens caps, and lens wipe. All mounting hardware including two CR2032 batteries come in the packaging. The QD mounts (included) are ideal for taking down the optic quickly in the event you want to engage with your back-up iron sights or mount a different optic on the fly. We have even provided a leveling kit with video instructions to ensure you get the perfect mount on your rifle.

This is a lot of scope for the price. I have not used it out at the range yet but I read good reviews on it in it's class. I got it mainly for my 22WMR bott action rifle with an 18 inch barrel. It is a perfect size fit. Lots of feature and this rifle does not have very much recoil since it is a rimfire. This is all I needed to spend for a scope of this caliber and size. ... show more

    • Great Little Scope
I bought one of these as I wanted a compact Scope for close - medium range. I had low expectations as I am really a Vortex guy, but have an ATN as well. This is the only one available that was not overpriced. I mounted it on my 450 Bushmaster and tested it at the range today and it was outstanding! Pros: Simple to Operate Very Affordable Decent Glass Excellent View Easy to Zero Holds Zero Compact - just over 8" Cons: Not particularly fond of the quick release on the scope mounts, and I do not know anyone that uses quick release on their scope mounts. The last thing we want is to re-mount and re-zero. The latches on the quick release get in the way of my brass catcher, and I don't want the latches to get caught on some brush and have it pop off. I just received my 2nd one for my 458 SOCOM, and will order one for my 50 Beowulf tomorrow. So, yes I think it is a good scope. Its important to note that all my big bores were meant to only reach out to 250 yards. My other weapons are long distance shooters, so they get a different scope. Range testing is complete on that one, field testing is next. For short-medium range targets, for the money - this is a good buy. Don't know if these scopes will stand up the recoil of the Big 3 indefinitely, all though I have tamed the recoil a lot, they still kick. ... show more

    • Great compact scope
After returning a higher priced scope from other brand, with the magnification ring not working, I was a bit worry for that old saying 'you get what you pay for. Well, this scope is great and the price unbeatable. I am not a pro shooter and my eyes and pulse would be the same with a $5000 scope. This one does everything I need. I pre-zeroed it at around 50 yards at home with a bore laser and it was almost ready from the factory. Lenses clarity is fine, reticle visibility is fine, the rings match perfectly my M&P 15 Sport II pic rail and it is compact. Eye relief is more than enough even at highest magnification. Customer support immediately answered two messages and questions I sent in via email and even offered to send me a replacement wrench which I did not need or asked for. I saw other negative comments and I wonder if they got this product or other. I expect to take it to the range this weekend and will report back, but I doubt the low 5.56 recoil would cause any issue on this scope that feels so well built. I would buy it again and might just do that for my other rifle. Range day update: Finally was able to take it to the range on an AR15 rifle. It worked perfectly for. I really can't point to anything bad. It is the first scope I use in a long time and I founf it is very good for most people that don't expect to break any shooting records. I had been using a red dot with a 5x magnifier combo before. I can say this scope is a great upgrade over that set up. I can even detect my erratic rifle movement while aiming which I was not able to detect with the 2MOA red dot. Definitely recommend this scope. ... show more

Waited a while to review in order to run it through the wringer. 200+ rounds now across different light, temps, and weather… let’s do this! Unboxing: The optic came well packaged with everything as advertised. The only thing wrong I noted was the little roll pin on one of the levers of the mount had either fallen out or was never installed and missed by QC. Easy fix though. There was also what appeared to be a copy of a hand written note thanking me for the purchase and soliciting a review. Mounting: Followed the written instructions and the YouTube tutorial. Easy and quick installation and leveling. Solid mount, didn’t notice any movement or wiggle. Mounted to a Ruger SFAR chambered in .308. Sighting in: Quick bore sight and off to the range. With a sled off a bench, I had it walked in with less than a magazine and started cutting holes with 3 round groups at 50. Shooting: Over the next few weeks through swings in temps and weather and different lighting, this optic never failed. A generous 3-3.5” eye relief. I’m not the best shot, but easily MOA at 100 and banging steel at 500. I do not like the blue colored reticle, which isn’t a deal breaker, it just doesn’t suit my eyes. Red and green work well. Quick acquisition of target at shouldering. The mil-spec is what you’d expect from a mil-spec. Overall would recommend and will likely try some more of this company’s products, including this optic on other setups. ... show more

    • Great value in a budget scope
I had my doubts, but worries subsided once I unboxed it. Solid build quality and clear glass for this price range; as good as some that are 2x -3x the price. Mount is solid, and turret locks and adjustment screws to return-to-zero are excellent. Parallax correction is bonus and achieved sharp image at full magnification. Ocular adjustment was also very nice. 1/4 MOA click detents were audible and easy to feel. Mated with a 6.5 Grendel and was driving tacks for 50 rounds and held zero nicely. Nitpicks: reticle is a bit thicker than I prefer, but the milliradian dots for BDC and windage are nice. Halo reflections on the inner scope tube even on lowest illumination settings are annoying, but in daylight I can’t see using the illumination much anyway. And I didn’t get a hand-written thank you note..;) At this price point these nits are easily accepted. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. We’ll see how it holds up in the long term, but I can highly recommend this scope and it should fill your need for a budget optic. ... show more
