These are a decent set of hair cutting scissors. The finger holes are ergonomic, sharp, and come with nice leather sleeves for storage. The set includes one standard scissor and one texturing scissor. They also come with adjustable tension keys, which is unfortunately one more small thing to keep track of. I wish they had used a simple Phillips screw instead so you wouldn’t need to remember the small unique tools. At the time of order, the set was priced at $20 for two scissors, which I think is fair for quality hair cutting scissors. Aside from my minor complaint about the tension keys, they perform perfectly adequately and I would recommend them.

I think these are decent thinning shears. I am a licenced cosmetologist & typically use professional ones, so I was curious how these would stack up. I was pleasantly surprised, these are not bad for the price. They were able to do a pretty nice job on my manikin head, The one thing I would say is to oil the blades, joints and screw of these before you use them, I don't think they come oiled & if you want to reduce wear & tear & keep them cutting alright, you will want to oil them. I would say these are a good deal for some entry level thinning shears. I cannot comment on the standard shears as I was sent two pairs of thinning shears rather than one of each. Kind of a bummer, I was looking forward to trying the standard shears too.

I am just a wife who likes to cut her husbands hair and beard, but am not a professional by any means. I like these pair of scissors because they are easy to use, adjustable, travel-friendly, and beginner friendly. They are sharp, but like most comments say, not as sharp as other professional tools. As a beginner, i find these easy to maneuver around and get nice clean cuts. I've only used them a couple times, but they haven't fallen apart or gathered any rust so that's a win for me.

The media could not be loaded. I’ve always wanted a pair of nice barber shears, but I don’t really know why I’ve just always thought they were cool. And these ones are cool. But before I get into why they’re cool. I wanna talk about what I don’t like about them. The finger holes are entirely too small for my fingers, but I believe that’s the way they’re supposed to be for barbers. I don’t think you want them going too far up your fingers if you’re a barber. The first picture shows how far I can get my thumb in middle finger into the finger holes. And I literally cannot push my fingers further in even 1 cm But it does make it easy to put them down They come with a leather sheet for each one It’s a pair of regular barber scissors, as well as what I thought were called thinning shears But evidently that’s not what they’re for. They’re not thinning someone’s hair for applying some texture quickly with some scissors If you check the third picture, you’ll see that they include some instructions for what they call “having your shears properly balanced“ and they’re kind of making it confusing in the diagram so I’m gonna show you in a video what they’re saying to do to make sure that your scissors are balanced if you check the video you’ll be able to see that I balanced mine. I don’t really know what the benefit is other than it probably makes it more comfortable as a barber cutting hair. It also comes with a leather swatch ( a rag might be a better term for it. ) That’s basically marketing fluff. Don’t worry about the leather just use a microfiber cloth to wipe these down. They’re good enough quality that the microfiber will get them clean. Do not use paper towels, cause they’ll scratch. And just think nothing of the leather swatch. If you wanna look and feel fancy, go ahead and use it, but it’s kind of small and awkward and don’t even consider any advice to use it as a strop because it’s too awkward And it won’t work properly. If you are unaware a strop is like a leather strap that you slide the shears up and down in an attempt to reshape the metal. It won’t sharpen dull metal. It’s kind of just a way to reposition the metal so it’s pointed again if it’s been rolled over a little bit… It doesn’t matter the point is it is not an STROP. It’s just kind of marketing fluff, but it’s nice that they included it. But a microfiber cloth is a much better option for cleaning them. It’s also recommended to put a little drip of oil after every use at the Hinge, but depending on how often you use them would be the deciding factor in my opinion. If you don’t use them often, definitely definitely put a drop of oil if you do use them often, it’s probably not necessary to do it after every use, but you be the judge. So I finally got a pair of barber shears and the first thing I wanna know is can I cut paper with it… Of course you can cut paper with it but you’re not supposed to. Not because it’ll have a negative immediate effect on your barber shears, but because it will dull your barber shears doing something other than cutting hair. Your shears will eventually start to dull even if the only thing you do is cut hair. I think the point of not cutting paper with your shears. Is that way you’re not making your barber shears, more dull doing something other than cutting hair.

This is a set of 6 inch hair cutting scissors. They come with cutting scissors and thinning shears. These scissors come with coverings to keep them protected. They also have a snap lock feature to keep your scissors from falling out. This comes with an adjustment tool and a shining cloth. These scissors seem to be fairly sharp. They do not come oiled and may need adjusted. The hole size was a little bit small for my thumb and my thumb did not fit as well as I would have liked but it fit. These feel like decent scissors and shears especially for the cost. These are decently easy to use and seemed to have a good edge to them. I'm not a professional but I've used quite a few pairs of hair cutting scissors as we cut most of our hair at home. The value on these is a very good value for a decent pair of scissors. These are not expensive for two sets and feel like these have good value for the cost in my opinion and at the time of this review. Overall, these scissors are very affordable They seem to hold a decent edge as long as you keep them oiled and adjusted. They seem accurate when cutting and I would have no issues recommending these to somebody else.
