I’m not easily impressed, but I am really impressed with the sound quality of this amplifier. I have it hooked up to two 12” full range and two 5” speakers. It will fill a large room with plenty of volume. Very little distortion at full volume. This is not the type of amplifier that you need if you’re looking for a lot of thump, but it will push your midrange and tweeters. Bass and treble adjustments do have a good range. It does have a separate output for a bass sub, but not anything to brag about. Might come in handy if you had a powered sub to hook up to it. Would also work well with a 12 volt cigarette adapter. EDIT: I hooked it up to an old Sony Xplod 10” sub and it has some thump!

Good Sound, But the 80-Watt Rating Seems Misleading

I find the advertised 80-watt output dubious at best. The included external power supply is only rated for 36 watts maximum, so I have a hard time seeing how it could consistently deliver the claimed output. That said, I still gave this amp 4 stars because the sound quality is surprisingly good once you adjust the knobs. I connected it to a pair of Logitech speakers after their built-in amplifier failed, and they actually sound better now than they did when they were new. I use this amp with my travel PC rather than my main setup, and it works well for that purpose. However, I would never use it to power my primary speakers. Overall, if you have a small 2.1 speaker system that needs an inexpensive replacement amplifier, this could be a good choice. Just keep in mind that, based on the included power supply, you should temper your expectations regarding the advertised 80-watt output.

So far, a great little amp.

I wanted a low wattage audio amp and found this one. I couldn't hardly believe the price thinking the quality couldn't be very good but I ordered it anyway. I wanted it to boost the power from my computer to run a pair of larger speakers. I received it, hooked it up and turned it on. I was amazed at how well it worked and the sound I got from this little guy. Turned the volume all the way up an no clipping what so ever. I don't need it that loud so I won't abuse it. I am still a little leery about how long it will hold up because it was so inexpensive but time will tell.

Resurrected a lame Logitech z533 setup. Of course, time will tell...

I have a Logitech z533 setup at my pc desk which apparently blew a cap that has disabled the subwoofer. Naturally this happened just outside the product's 1 year warranty. Most of the power delivery electronics are inside the subwoofer, out of reasonable reach without destroying the subwoofer case (which is glued together MDF.) Even if I could get to the electronics, I don't necessarily have the know-how to go through and suss out and replace the capacitor. That doesn't mean I'm going to just go out and drop another $150 on another z533 setup. Especially when I consider this is the third and final Logitech speaker setup to have a lame electronics-based failure that I've had to clean up after. (I also still have an old z506 setup with a faulty power switch I had to fix myself...) I knew the speakers themselves were still good, so I decided to give this amp a try as it has very similar output properties to the original amp. Cut and extend the wires from the sub speaker, plug them into the new amp. Cut the phono plugs off the left and right channel speakers, stripped those wires back a bit, and plugged them into the spring clip terminals on the Facmogu. Plugged in my laptop for a sound source, and I was done. If the speakers sound different than they did with the Logitech electronics onboard, I honestly cannot tell. Your mileage may vary. Yes, I've lost use of the little control puck thing, but that thing kinda sucked anyway. I cut it off. The question is: will this amp last? If it doesn't, I will edit this review to reflect that.

I purchased this amp to upgrade the audio in my Ninja Turtles arcade cabinet. If you are looking for just loud audio this will kinda do that. What this amp does NOT do is provide clean audio. I have 2 kenwood 4inch 2way speakers and an 8 inch subwoofer hooked up. The high a super screechy. The lows a practically non existent. The subwoofer output is nothing more that a mono channel. No crossover is applied to the sub. The bass and treble adjustment knobs just add noise to the sound. The unit do not achieve the advertised wattage per channel. Spend some extra money and get a good amp. Avoid this cheap junk. I will be retuning that asap!

Amplifier is compact and does great job.

Ultimately what you pay is what you get. I have an old SONY dual speakers(from early 2000) system and I tried various levels of bass and treble to tune up the volume and the output is really smooth(no voice break ups). Its 20W per speaker and sound is pretty good. Someone who really have a low budget and not to spend too much money can definitely go with this. Another beauty of this product is it comes with an adapter. I highly recommend this product.

Not loud as it should be

Surprising Little Wonder

For the price? man, you can't ask for more, this little one does the job, assuming you have the needed speakers and tweeters For me, It powered the 10-inch SUB very well, the quality and the features are surprisingly good, and very nice sound. You CAN'T expect it to drive a 500 watts SUB or so, this is not a powerhouse amp, it is just good for the home-based SUB
