I took a chance on this amp considering all the features and power it had to offer. I wanted an assortment of inputs including a sub out port for an active subwoofer. The LCD screen is very nice and works well with the remote control It allows you to make every selection combined with the multi function knob that works extremely well. The sound is crisp and not over done with bass and treble adjustments if needed. I assume the power is about 35 to 40 WPC at 8 Ohm. Plenty to drive most speakers. The unit is most attractive as it is all metal and has good weight to it. I think it is bet served in a small to medium size room. If your looking for the amp to drive large speakers in a large room.....look elsewhere. I use this amp on my desktop to drive Cambridge Minx speakers with a 6.5 inch powered sub. I must say it sounds very good to my listening.....I like the fact I can stack my compact DVD player on the top of the unit for easy access. I don't know much about this China Company but given it's attractive price point and features, I think it's a winner.

This is a POS it stopped working after 2 months. Screen is always on and shows dumb EQ effects that are just for show. Does not produce a lot power. With the volume down all the way it still plays bass so when it's on zero you can still hear bass. The bass output also appears to not filter out high frequency so you will be relying on your woofer to do that. Other than that it works for what I wanted just wish it had more power doesn't get loud at all.

This a unique and versatile device, and it's an excellent value. For less than one hundred, this has the full gamut of inputs, including HDMI. I've tested each input, and the only input I found to be lacking was the USB input, which is only capable of 16-bit sampling in Windows. Driver detection is automatic. All inputs functioned without issue, including HDMI. It is truly plug and play to control volume and power with your existing TV remote when connected over HDMI. This also includes a remote on top of that, very nice. The power outage provided to speakers is not good based on the weak power 24v5a power supply, and I'd guess it's delivering about 30-35 watts per channel. If this is tolerable, then this is a great value the features you're getting.

Bought this for use in den man cave, wanted to power an old Sony subwoofer and Advent speakers. Budget friendly and Works fine! Was hoping the HDMI arc port connected to the LG C4 TV would allow for Roku remote control of both TV speakers and wired sub/speakers. Unfortunately, found out that LG C series and most other tv’s do not allow for this. The HDMI arc feature will work with bluetooth speakers for single remote control. Otherwise you must use the optical connection, which the unit has and works fine. Fortunately, the Dap-23c has a nice remote (AAA) battery, which is way better than my old sound bar it replaced.

So close. So close to perfect, but where is the perfect tiny amp with ARC? The good. Plenty of power for 95% of users. Clean audio. Quiet. ARC works flawlessly. Honestly, couldn't care less about the other inputs. The bad. No configuration for what goes out the sub line out vs the speaker jacks. No crossover interally that I can tell. So, you end up wasting all of that low frequency output power on frequencies that your speakers can't reproduce. Someone needs to make a small amp like this with a low frequency cutoff frequency in the pre-amp section prior to the amp to send everything above a set frequency to the amplifier section and everything below to the RCA sub output. Why is this so hard to figure out? There's obviously some low pass filter prior to the sub output, but it's not adjustable. I have frequencies somewhere around 70-80Hz that are way OVER-pronounced using both the amp output as well as the sub output. No tunability at all. Driving me nuts. I may end up returning this unit if I can find one that actually utilizes a distinct frequency that will vs output on one vs the other.

The functionality and usage of this unit is spot on. The back is well laid out and the HDMI port works well with ARC. I was able to control volume on the unit via ARC using the TV remote, as well as adjust the volume using the remote that comes with the unit. The unit has a small LCD that allows for easy access to sound settings (treble, bass, input, etc). It comes with a 120w power supply which seems to be on the upper end that I see for units like this. Using the Edifier P12 bookshelf speakers at full power I was able to get 86db from this unit which is over the speakers 79db rating. It’s not super load, but I suspect that’s more the speakers than this amp. Overall a good product that seems to work like supposed to.

I finally decided to start setting up my audio system and pulled this out of the original box & packaging after sitting for a couple months. I purchased this specifically for the optical since my TV only has optical out. All other functions on this unit work fine but I get no audio from the optical port. I verified speakers connected to it work by testing with bluetooth and that the optical signal was good by testing it on a sound bar. So unfortunately the function I needed this unit for doesn't work and it's of course well passed the return window so, into the recycle bin it goes!
