This stuff is great if you have a pet that likes to chew on cords like my kitten does. After having multiple phone chargers, headphones, and EXPENSIVE apple laptop charges destroyed, I decided it was time to do something about the chewing problem. This stuff is seriously great. It is sturdy, very easy to put on, and it comes with enough to protect multiple cords. My cat isn't even interested in trying to chew through it anymore because it doesn't give him the satisfaction like the nice thin cords did that he already destroyed. He did try to chew through it when I first put it on, but it stayed true to it's purpose and it didn't even come close to puncturing the actual electrical cord. There are some bite marks in the chewsafe cover, but my cords are fine and have no harm to them. Buy this if you have a chewer like mine. I think it would work well for all pets and all types of cords. The only downside is that is is heavy and has made my laptop charger and phone charger a bit more heavy and bulky then I would like. However just for the fact that my cords will never again be able to be chewed is well worth it! ... show more

Worked well for us in deterring my rabbit from chewing cords. Like anything else, it's just one part of the solution. You have to identify why they want to chew cables and use this as a deterrent but also provide safe and healthy alternatives. In our case we always have cardboard boxes, sticks, palm leaf toys, etc that give him outlets for his instincts so he doesn't indulge in spicy hay. Not great. I ordered 3. One was fine but the other two had warped (no longer closed) so the tube was no longer closed so there is no way to get it to stay wrapped around the cable. Two of three being bad is disappointing.

We adopted Duke about a month ago and was advised he has a tendency to chew electrical wires if he is bored or wants attention. Rather than spray everything with bitter apple I found this product which is infused with bitter apple and it works like a charm. He went to chew and the infused bitter apple and strength of this product really deterred Duke. One nibble and he immediately stopped. All of the lower floor including my home office and its computer wires are all installed and planning to by more for upstairs. Awesome projection and deterrent for active and aggressive chewers.
