I bought this oil to use as a pre-wash treatment for my dry, itchy scalp. The directions say to use one dropper full throughout the entire scalp and recommend leaving it on overnight for best results. I probably used 1 1/2 to 2 droppers full but I really wanted to coat my scalp since it was so itchy. I will say that within minutes of applying the oil to my whole scalp & using a handheld scalp scrubbing brush, my scalp did not itch again until later the following day. I did leave the oil on overnight to maximize results. There was no residual oil left in my hair after I washed it the next morning. Overall, I am very pleased with this product and plan to use it at least once/week on the night prior to washing my hair.

The media could not be loaded. I have been religiously using these oils for a while now. I will say you need to be consistent with them to really notice a difference. A little does go a long way. I do love the consistency and scent of this brand vs other oils that will tend to be too thick which can lead to clogged follicles and can cause a lot of hair fallout. I use both of these at the scalp after brushing my hair for 4-5 minutes to stimulate the blood flow and after I will part my hair to place it onto my scalp with a good massage, then I follow up with rubbing some between my palms before applying the remaining amount left on my hands onto the ends of my hair since my hair is curly they appreciate the moisture. Place it in either loose braids or a loose bun :). I do let it sit for roughly 3 hours before washing my hair out twice and never leave it on overnight. This is just works for me.

A few years ago I would’ve never considered using a product like this but I have discovered a love for face oils despite having combination skin so my mind has opened. My hair, like my skin, leans more oily than dry so I wasn’t sure where this was going to leave me. First off, I am obsessed with the smell. It’s not overpowering but I’d literally grab a strand just to breathe it in again. I know it’s mainly just a byproduct of the ingredients but I love that it’s a very natural, light scent that genuinely does have a relaxing quality. It’s present but not cloyingly so. I also like how the oil absorbed into my hair/scalp. I didn’t feel like it was sitting on top of it. I have sensitive skin & my scalp can randomly get itchy/irritated- more than half the time after trying a new shampoo or similar product. I do absolutely find this to be soothing, it did improve the condition of my scalp 10 fold & my hair would feel silky smooth afterward. It washes out cleanly. I definitely have best results leaving it in overnight. I have put in on relatively close to bedtime (I do a full dropper) & I’ll really massage it in then put my hair in a high bun for sleep. Luckily I don’t wake up with greasy pillow case either!

I'm really impressed with this Fable & Mane Amla Soothing Serum. In the 90's and early 2000's I was religious about my weekly hot oil treatments. Then I had two babies and the weekly treatments stopped. My scalp does get dry and itchy from the sun mixed with product buildup. I parted my hair down center. I used one dropper full, massaging it in every few drops. When the dropper was empty I massaged it into my scalp really well. The scent smelled very herbal to me. I used my backup pillowcase and kept the oil in overnight. In the morning it felt like my hair was greasy but it rinsed out surprisingly easily. My scalp felt well nourished and my hair looked smooth and shiny. It was very gentle and there was no irritation. It says to use bi-weekly and I will absolutely continue using this product. The winter months are right around the corner and that's the worst time of the year for itchy, dry scalp. Now, I feel like I have found an amazing product to help combat these issues. I'd highly recommend this product. Five stars!

I have a weekly hair routine that I follow, but I never thought I would need a scalp oil—my scalp is somewhat oily to begin with. I wash my hair every other day due to scalp oiliness, which leaves my hair somewhat dry. I use a weekly hair mask on the ends to help. I use a protein treatment once weekly as well. However, I’ve also now been using this scalp oil twice a week and have noticed that my hair is much softer and more manageable with minimal change in the oiliness of my scalp. I use the dropper to drop the oil onto my scalp (dry hair) and then gently rub in with my fingers. The packaging says to rub the oil between your palms to disperse, but I preferred dropping it directly into my hair/scalp and then combing through with my fingers. It also smells fantastic—kind of an earthy but nice smell that is neither feminine nor masculine.

I wanted to love this, but given its price as we may last purchase, it didn’t really relieve the scalp itch that I have for sleeping with wet ponytails. I think I’ll find something more inexpensive.
