I would not consider myself handy in any way. In fact putting this coffee table together is the first time I’ve done anything like this completely alone. Directions were easy to follow, and pretty simple to assemble. I read reviews about the holes not lining up which I was nervous about but all but two did match after a little finagling . The two that did not line up were in the middle of 2 other holes so not screwing that one in, I think there will be enough force it will be fine. Took a little longer than I expected, but I was also alone and not great at things like this. The table looks great, love the storage space underneath the top. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a cheap, good looking, functional (storage) and space maximizing (because of the round shape) coffee table.

Solid table. Does not have mechanism to slowly lower the table top and may be difficult for some to open and close the top. The top is great. I use it daily and there’s no scratching. The size of the table is large, you can seat 4 around it comfortably. Does not take a lot of space and is easy to assemble. Great price for for the table, given the sturdiness.

I liked this table and it’s a good size for my space. I got the round one because the rectangular tables are way too big for my space. Instructions were clear. It said it would be easier to put together with 2 people but I live alone and I’m at a disadvantage in that department. It wasn’t hard until I got to the very last putting the top on. Holding the top and trying to screw it in at the same time is next to impossible. It was difficult for me and took several tries until I finally got it done. I like the hidden compartment. It holds my books and notebooks and bills so I don’t have stacks of stuff in the end table anymore which was my goal. I can put my laptop on it when working when I get tired of working at my desk. If I’m doing crafts or my nails I put a plastic cloth down on it so I don’t spill anything accidentally and damage the top. The quality is better than expected. I wish there would have been an easier way to get the top on or that it came attached already as that part was a struggle. I had to push on the metal to align the holes so I could get the screws in. Holding up the table with my shoulder, pushing in on the metal riser with one hand and screwing it on with another was how I got it done. I had propped up a flashlight under there as I could not see. It was challenging but I’m happy with the table. I bought some Magic sliders so it is easier to move.

This thing is heavy in the package, so move with caution. Everything was labeled (numbered stickers on each piece) and the tools came in their own separate compartment (with some extra screws just in case). I used the given Allen wrench for this whole thing, and it took about an hour to assemble by myself. Please please please listen to the review on here that says to do Step 1 & 2 and then immediately skip to Step 6 & 7. It saved me so much stress and strife because if you do the assembly in order, you’re going to have a bad time when it gets to the end (the hydraulic section for the lift-table). If you want to make your life easier, save Steps 3-5 for last. Plenty of functionality with the inside storage, side grooves and the base of the table itself. Had no issues with screws and holes either. It’s a really pretty espresso table. It lifts quiet. Feels sturdy. I don’t know how it will do with longevity for what it is, but it’s sufficient for now. Table is great. Seller uses Lasership/Ontrac which is virtually the worst service on the planet so just because it says Free One-Day Prime delivery, do not expect it in a day. Took much longer.

I really like this little table. It's pretty sturdy and built well. I like to eat and watch my favorite shows so it's nice to open it up and have a place to eat without being scared of making a huge mess. It's pretty solid and even open, I don't have any concerns with it bearing most weight. The little storage place is nice and you can even put remotes and other items along the sides. Assembly was pretty easy. Many say you need 2 people and that would help, but I did it myself and it wasn't that difficult.

I imagine The reason this gets returned so often is because people give up trying to assemble it. I've assembled a lot of furniture in my day and am pretty good at it. This piece was a beast, an absolute beast to put together. In part the instructions weren't all that clear and in part it just goes together in a dumb way. But if you persevere, you will end up with a really nice table. It's a good size. The storage is surprisingly good. I love the fact that there are little places to put your remote or other things you want handy, but they're not necessarily sitting just on top of the table. It's an attractive table. Seems pretty solid for an inexpensive piece of furniture, it's heavy. So I don't really have anything negative to say about it, except that the assembly was a pain in the ass. The final bit of assembly was attaching the hydraulic lift to the table top. Some reviewers recommend having two people to do this and that would be a good idea. I did it myself and was able to do it but I couldn't find the third hole in the hardware so it's only being held with two screws on each side rather than three and even so this does seem sturdy enough. BOTTOM LINE: if you want a nice round coffee table with a quite a surprising bit of storage and you don't mind putting up with a headache of installation this is the table for you. it really is attractive and very functional. Prepare to sweat.

The screw holes are miserably misaligned. Not all the boards are labeled but it's pretty easy to figure out what is what. Other than that, it's a fine table. Though the top lifting part is a little wobbly and it resists closing but I'm sure that's something that will fix itself with time.
