The size seems smaller than what I thought it would be, it is ok for stability now but a full grown Maine coon might make short work of it. It does have a little smell to it, but not terrible. Overall I think it looks nice my kitten enjoys the toys, and the height is pretty good, I would have liked bigger platforms and it could be a little sturdier. I was worried at first because of the size of the box. However after removing all the parts I was impressed by the design for shipping. All the pieces were present. The directions were easy to follow. It went up quick with a second set of hands but would have been fine to put together solo. So far I'm happy with the quality and the price point. Both my cats spend a lot of time on this. The only issue is one of my cats has scratched the front scratching pad so much it’s starting to come off. But it’s definitely sturdy, and not too annoying to put together though it was definitely a task. Instructions are easy enough to follow.
