This kit is amazing!! I did stop using the guide tho and forcing the air out, now I just fill them up by hand and that works fine!! The drill doesn't work, so I used my Dremel that I have at home. You can also use a thin piece of metal to heat up and push through as well. When it comes to the color cartridge I recommend once you finish drilling the holes taking a paperclip and unwinding it, then proceed to dunk into each individual hole (wiping it with a tissue after each one) so you know which holes is what dye color, then I used a marker to make a triangle with dots that then was taped to the cartridge so I didn't have to check each time and had a simple label to go off of, you could also put a dot of paint instead. These are so easy to refill just by hand then being able to jusy pop them right on it. I would say the black cartridge can take 8 mls after being fully empty and that cartridge can last anywhere between 200-300 pages. As for the color cartridge, when completely empty I did 2 mls each, and that works great, but if I don't know how much is in it I'll do either half of 1 ml or a full 1. Just be sure when you're filling these up to take your time. You don't have to go too slow but when you get towards the end I do tend to tilt the cartridge a little bit and watch carefully for it it were to bubble out. Also don't tear off the tin foil top of the bottles, just poke a hole with one of the syringes, it gets easier when you start to run low on the bottle to just tilt it and draw some out. I definitely will continue to buy from here! It can be messy if you let it be, I tend to just do it over one tiny piece of tissue though or a piece of paper. Once you get into the pattern it's quite easy. When I'm done with the syringe though, I fill it with air and push it into a tissue a few times to get the small left over dye out of it to help with storage. When done make sure to keep all the needles pointing up when not in use, if there is any left inside and you have them pointing down they may drain and leak out even with the cap on if you have even a few drop left inside. I'm practically done with my bottle of black in two weeks! And I've EASILY printed 3500+ pages! Id say one bottle of black for can do 5000 standard letter documents easily! ... show more

After I got this order for a wide. This time to refill my black ink. This is gone so fast after the second XL pg 275 ( I am sad that I threw the original cartridge away after I got a new one). For my school stuff, ink costs a lot of money, and I don't need crazy quality printing, just print a document for reading and an assignment. Process is so easy IF you guys pay attention instructuion, I knew some of you might neither read nor watch the instruction manual. and if your printer has problem about offline because it can't detect the cartridge by ink all gone It will be error. --> one fill the ink put it back ---> reconnect network or if it error by unable to detect ink tank ---> reset it guy --> after put filled in back ---> print something ok? and error code show up DO NOT CANCLE PRINTING -> YOU MUST RESET IT !!!! PRESS STOP FOR 10 SEC+ UNTIL BEEEP OR UNTIL YOU HEAR PRINT CLEAN NOZZLE YOU KNOW YOU WILL. --> Then good to gooo. for some reason doesn't work for you that fine like use take time try something new. don't be bitching don't be whining life is not that hard. actually i change from one shop by return their stuff it look same but it was damage in the box and I cannot replace too. UPDATED REVIEW: 1/1/26 : So I've had these ink refills for quite some time now just sitting there and I kept buying the expensive printer cartridges. I was currently in need of ink but I remembered I had these so after so long I decided to give it another try I needed the ink asap so I had no choice then to give ir another try. This time around it worked!! I just adjusted some settings on my canon mx490, I cleaned the nozzles, the rollers, and did an alignment, I turned it off and on a few times and I finally I did nozzles checks. Until I got a good print. So then I printed something with color and it came out beautifully!! The only issue I still have is my printer still not reading the ink levels eventhough I've successfully filled the cartridges successfully this time. I wish there was instructions on how to get it to either read the ink levels correctly or how to make it bypass that alert. Once the levels go to 0 the printer will not let me print. Save yourself a headache and just buy the cartridges. Very confusing instructions. I wrote a thorough review but amazon will not let me post along with the picture. Don't buy this. ... show more

I definitely would not recommend buying this for your printer. First of all there were no issues with shipping. However the product itself was a waste of money. I actually had to return it. I followed the exact directions on YouTube and could not get my printer to work. I also tried getting a hold of someone for help and that failed. They give you just an email if you have any issues and that was useless because no one ever answered my emails I sent. In my opinion it’s would stay as far away from this product unless you want to buy a new printer. I definitely would not recommend this seller or this product in my opinion. ... show more

    • Print Quality comparable to Brand Name
I have been using these for a couple of months now and am happy with the results, so I can recommend them. I got them after finding out that the cartridges that came with the printer did not last their print count and were only filled to half capacity. As near as I can figure out, the XL cartridges are just the same as the regular ones but with more ink, the cartridge size doesn't change. I also found that the estimates given by Canon were not anywhere near the advertised amount. This irritated me so much that I decided to take my chances with one of these kits and I'm glad I did. Canon claims it will void the warranty, but for a low priced printer I'll take the chance and I don't trust the warranty anyway. Couple of things to know: 1. The little hand drill does not really drill through the Canon cartridge, especially given that the location to put the ink in is in a thicker piece of plastic. I ended up using a comparably sized drill bit and an electric drill. Worked fine then. There is tape on the cartridge to cover up the hole afterward so follow the instructions and don't drill through the tape/sticker. 2. There may be an initial error message on the printer and the first couple of pages will be streaky. At first, we thought there was damage to the printer or cartridge, but running a couple of sheets through the print quality is the same as the brand name cartridge with no streaking. Took about 5 pages. I can't remember if we did a clean print head cycle or not. On older printers there used to be a print head clean cycle on the printers or you had to wipe off excess ink from the cartridges. Overall, cost was less than half the cost of brand name for the same number of sheets, and this is conservative. It is probably closer to 25-30% the cost of brand name making a 70-75% savings. ... show more

Writing for Canon TS 3722. It took me forever literally cursing Canon and remembering why I always bought Nikon. The satisfaction afterwards and the real working ink made it all very worthwhile. 1. Layout newspaper/brown paper allover use latex/gloves start printer take printer cases out start only with black first. Take barcode stickers off of each and keep for sticking back on later. 2. Open kit lay out everything and disregard everything except black ink and one black needle and screwdriver if you have an eye glass screwdriver use that and locate hole from diagram in instructions. start hole with that screw driver then once the hole is started use the kit screwdriver which is larger that came with kit until you hit shallow end and keep blowing on it because you don't want to get plastic shavings inside ink well. Once you hit down inside you pull it out and you'll see old ink. Take needle and pierce through aluminum foil of black ink and pull up about five ml. push back about 3ml and make sure there is no bubbles and inject 3ml into ink well very very slowly. Then pull it back out slowly. I messed up but learned a lot. It takes about 5ml BUT make sure no bubbles. Tap ink well and put barcode back on. Rub bottom on napkin to see if ink comes through a bit. Next. The 3 colors. This is interesting. Take barcode off set aside. look at diagram to find holes don't worry about colors just drill the holes like the above. you will know which is which when you pull out, then use the color dots on the kit , put them on top of the holes you can puncture through and use separate needles for each color. Put barcode back on ink case. use alcohol and clean up. keep turning off and on your printer and try scanning printing and eventually it gets it and works. This company should get a green award.
