It’s big enough to hold two big beach towels, sunscreen, water, bottles, etc. I love that it has outside pockets to hold all sorts of things and there is a zipper pocket on the inside that is not see-through that you could put your keys and cell phone and things like that in. I like it but it does not hold shape on its own. It would be better with a structured bottom. Also if there are too many things the straps will hurt your shoulder.

Bought this because the one I’d been using for the pool just wasn’t big enough for my items and my 2 year old granddaughters items. This is amazingly huge. Lots of outside pockets and one inside zippered pocket. I got blue with grey to go with my Speedo navy swim backpack. I love this swim bag. I pack a lot of stuff for the pool including small kick board, flippers, goggles, water, shampoo, conditioner, makeup bag, etc. It has so many pockets, everything stays organized and easy to find. The cross strap makes it easy to carry. Highly recommend.
