This my third EZ Builder shed kit. I built a 10x20; and two 7x8 sheds. The kits let you frame the shed just like a pro carpenter would do it. The instructions are straightforward and easy to follow. The material list included is accurate and everything fits together with no problem and very little cutting to do. I went with rolled roofing to keep things simple.     • It seems as good idea but i haven’t tried yet.
If you don’t like angle cuts, this is good idea but they are not so thick, i will use also pocket hole joints for extra support.

I used the basic kit for a 7x8 shed. I bought the materials Saturday morning and the unpainted shed was finished Saturday evening with 4 of us working about 8 clock hours. Two of us caulked the joints and painted the next day on Sunday. You *will* cut angles on boards, and they include a metal guide for marking the cuts - so do NOT believe the "no cuts required" because there are angle cuts required. The brackets, when used as designed, create strong joints. The materials list had me cut boards that went unused at first - but I made enough design changes to use the materials. I used 100% of (2) packages of shingles on the roof to get the ~64 square feet covered - I need to add the ridge shingles to finish it off. Some of the boards in the drawings are incorrectly marked - in one place a "cc" board is actually supposed to be a "c" board and length, in another case the drawing says the board is supposed to be 7'9" but it's actually supposed to be 79". Do yourself a favor and only cut the boards as you are going to use them. It will save you a lot of madness later. Also, don't expect the instructions to provide clear guidance on angles - because they do not and they are confusing. The good news is I have done construction most of my life unprofessionally and I used a speed square to get things done. As you will see I added a window (about $48 at the big box store) and I changed the design of the door from a single 48" door to a pair of 24" doors - because I liked the design better. Your mileage may vary. If you are an experienced builder and need to throw up a shed over the weekend, this is for you. If you've never built a shed before, I want to level set the expectations: this will require you going slowly, methodically, step-by-step and likely searching for some videos, etc to help you have a good outcome. Patience and perseverance will be required. All in, with lumber, the kit, concrete blocks, paint, screws and nails, roofing materials, window, door hardware, gable and roof vent, etc ... I think I have ~$800.00 in a completed 7x8 shed - but only because I have all the right tools and friends willing to help me out on a Saturday. ... show more

I actually bought these to create a fort/playhouse for my son. The attached photos show the structure in a mostly finished state (minus the trim and door). I anticipated only modifying the height that was called for in the plans. I cannot deny that having these braces made building the structure easier. However, I had to buy additional, sturdier braces to supplement them. The provided braces are not very sturdy, and they did bend very easily. Even having multiple people on the scene did not help to steady them much. We had to adapt the order of assembly to make it workable. In addition, the provided instructions are not very clear. In the end, the lack of clarity meant I needed to go online to see how others assembled structures using these braces. The final result is great though, and it’s a dream come true for my son. There is no doubt that having this set made it possible, but I believe they fall short of being a complete solution. I am glad to have purchased them, despite some drawbacks. I actually WOULD recommend these for folks wanting to get a jump start on a project, but I think you should be prepared to make some modifications, particularly to reinforce the structure. The cost is actually pretty in line with what you get, so I feel that I DID get good value for the cost. It might best be viewed as only one piece of the puzzle though. I would recommend some additional bracing and additional lumber to better support the walls. It’s important to note that I may be overly concerned, since I wanted a safe and sturdy structure for kids to play in, so your expectations may differ - especially if you’re using it as a standard utility shed. Still, I would likely have recommended the above in that case as well, especially if you live in an area where you get a good deal of wind and snow. ... show more

Not worth a dime! None of the bracket fit properly had to hammer to get them even close and and they were bent to hell. I replaced with parts purchased at the big box store for a more rigid frame before finishing the shed build. Instructions where had butt also pieces did not fit properly I went through and cut everything before assembly and marked them accordingly. While putting stuff together nothing matched has to purchase extra lumber to to even get a partial build that completely changed and made a custom shed once all the brackets where removed and sent back for a refund. Think twice before buying this kit do your research over and over again sheds are easy to build just this kit is not the way to go ... show more

I built the shed in my backyard - I did make changes and used many upcycle components. Shed has a steel roof and vintage windows. First time I built something this complex. Kit was very helpful. Built in the Fall of 2019 - pre covid. FYI, I am a woman in her seventies.
