However, we filled a pitcher with 32 oz of water and added it to an empty storage container and it was so full, there would be no room for expansion during freezing. I will not plan to store more than 24-28 oz of food depending on if solid or liquid. So technically it will hold the volume stated but I’m sure the lid would not stay on after contents are frozen. ... show more
