Arrived after the initial project was competed do to not fault of the source company. Recently able to use on a secondary project. The ratchet ability greatly increased the ease of trimming back overgrown thorn baring brush that have hindered yard clearing. The cutting blade snapped during this first use. In review, I noted that the branch in question was near the size limit of the cutter as well as biting at an angle instead of straight across as I intended. As the ratchet force increased, so did the unintended force on the blade causing it to break. Now I get to test out the unique ability to replace the broken part instead of having to buy a new tool. In addition of keeping a spare blade part, I will have to ensure the ease of cutting experience does not lull me into not being as careful as I should be.

These things seemed like they were week made when I first looked at them and felt them in my hands, but after 10 minutes of using them the blade snapped and broke cutting a 2" limb. Submitted a claim with the lifetime warranty and had to Spend around 12 bucks on a replacement blade. Now they just don't feel like they work the same as they did when I first started using them. The ratchet sticks sometimes when cutting a limb and it hits the 3rd click. I don't know if something else is bent or what. Needless to say I have mixed feelings about them

After trying several loppers on the market, this one stands out over all of them. Solid build, great telescoping action, evenly distributed weight (not too top heavy), easy cutting action, and short range of motion thanks to the new “maximizer” for faster opening. This thing is no joke, all business, and so far has coasted through very large roots and branches. The rat hung action is simple, smooth, easy, and powerful. Unlike with other loppers, this one has a smaller range of motion to operate and cut...especially using the “maximizer” option. Personally I think price point of these loppers is way too high...I can’t believe I paid $145. Not knowing how these will hold up long term or the cost of the materials that have gone into this product, I think they should be priced around $100. That’s still around $40 higher than the most expensive similar loppers. Having said that, yeah I bought them and am pleased with them and the lifetime guarantee if anything does happen. Couple key take-aways to make a great product even more amazing 1) I wish there was a way for the “maximizer” latch to be a specific option vs. having to reset the latch each time you open the blade (see pictures). Makes it cumbersome to operate when cutting multiple branches while telescoped. Personally I would use the maximizer on every cut if I didn’t have to reset the latch each time. Why? The shorter travel/range of motion one needs to open the blade and cut = faster cuts in less time = more efficiency. The faster opening using the maximizer on this geared lopper in general is a huge advantage over others period. The fact I don’t have to open the arms to aprox 70 degrees to open the blade like other geared loppers is A huge advantage with the EZ Cut G2 2) I love the red anvil side which catches the blade. It’s looks great! I was a little disappointed the paint rubbed off the teeth and cutting area on first use. (See picture) It’s a beautiful accent to this tool. Not sure the answer other than somehow molding that piece using a red dye? 3) Mine didn’t come with the strap to keep loppers closed however latching the “maximizer” Kind of serves the same purpose when stored. Overall great lopper, high price point, love the maximizer. If you can afford them, don’t bother buying anywhere else

NEVER bend over again....Never stress your hands or shoulders....fully extended handles allow standing upright. Any lopping up to 2.5" can be cut in 3 easy "pushes" of the handle. The ratcheting feature is genius...no effort to shear the knurliest wood or rope or whatever you wish. EXCELLENT product. EZ KUT IS!

Great! These cutters are simply great. Every year I have a bunch of tree branches to cut up for disposal. I tried different saws with no luck and my standard loppers either couldn't cut them at all (and, yes, I know how to sharpen my tools) or strained my arms and shoulders to make the cut. The worst part of using my old loppers was the shock wave that went through my arms and shoulders when the cutter finally snapped through the material. These EZ Kut loppers just made my life so much easier. Their force multiplication is enough that they easily make the cuts the first time on most branches. And, if I need more force, all I have to do is ratchet the handle once or twice and the cut is made. I just finished a pile of branches that took me only 15 minutes to cut up with the EZ Kut loppers and it was as easy as could be. It would have taken me over an hour with the old loppers and my shoulders and arms would have been hurting when I was done. The largest material I have cut so far is about an inch and a half in diameter and has been aspen, oak, and maple dead and dry. At my age I appreciate good tools that help me remain independent.
