These were nice to use... no moving and pouring. My only issue was that one was contaminated and had something growing in it. They also aren't sealed in any way, so you do have to be mindful when pulling one out of the packaging, to assure you don't contaminate any of the others.

The petri dishes were contaminated when I opened them and unusable in my classroom. It was too late to exchange them so I had to try to salvage parts of them to use. Frustrating!!

These agar plates were fantastic! The arrived quickly and were packaged so well. The students enjoyed the experiment (swapping their hands, then swabbing the plates). We didn't use a proper control, it was more to see what could happen. The plates incubated nicely, packed in their cardboard shipping box, packed in another cardboard box, near a warm space heater. They grew nicely in approximately 5 days. It was fantastic (and gross) to see what we had grown. I would be happy to purchase these again for another lab experiment.

My 3rd grader used this kit for science fair this year. It was straightforward and easy to do. It's important to me that his project reflects his work so I like that the instructions were clear enough that he could do it all on his own.
