Barely know it’s there!
A PFD is useless sitting in the bottom of your vessel or as a seat cushion. Most people don’t wear them because the inhibit their ability to paddle and move freely. This style PFD is the way to go, you won’t remember it’s even on. We got the automatic style. Love them.

Inexpensive, but uncomfortable and not USCG approved
The fabric is uncomfortable and stiff. While it’s an inexpensive alternative, I’m returning it for that reason. The thought of having it rub up against my neck for hours at a time is enough to convince me to send it back. Also, my confidence in it being safe and functioning properly if needed isn’t strong: it is stated in the Q&A but not the item description, this is not USCG approved. Many states require a USCG approved PFD even on kayaks and canoes. If you search for USCG approved life jackets on Amazon, this comes up, they need to correct that.

Discovered not needed before shipped but couldn't cancel because vendor saying already shipped - but no! Making me pay to return -- $13!!! Oh yeah, and the life vest itself looked cheap, I would've returned anyway.

Nice and light
haven't used it yet but blew it up to make sure it held air and it did. Won't know if it works till fall in water and then it could be toooo late.

Comfort!
I started Kayaking this past year and the only thing that I was less than thrilled about was wearing a life jacket. I knew that it was the smart and responsible thing to do but I just wanted to go out and have fun and not feel weighed down or restricted. I love this life jacket because I barely know I even have it on. I can do whatever I can do without it on. So happy!
