Performance Peel AP25 can be used up to twice a week, as tolerated (6 week supply) on face, chest and back of hands. Why are there two pads per application? Step 1 is the Activator Pad. Apply over the entire face, avoiding eye area, lips and any area of sensitivity. Then after 10 minutes (or sooner if you experience bothersome redness or discomfort), apply the Step 2 Neutralizer Pad.

I have been using this chemical peel for over a year and obviously like the product. Unfortunately my most recent purchase had step one and step two packaging switched. Had I not been a historical user of this product I would not have known.

EXUVIANCE Performance Peel AP25, 6-Week Supply This is a two-step peel system that can be customized to your needs by how long you leave the glycolic acid (step 1) on your skin. Don't leave it on your skin longer than 10 minutes though and stop and apply the neutralizer (step 2) immediately if you have any reactions like stinging or extreme redness but some discomfort is normal. I left this on my skin for about 5 minutes and then applied the neutralizer. This left my skin red but not raw. The redness faded within the hour though. Yes, this is expensive but when you consider a peel like this done professionally is around $100 and you get 13 treatments in the set at a cost of about $6 each. Activator Pad: Aqua/Water/Eau, Mandelic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Gluconolactone, Ammonium Hydroxide, Arginine, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Sodium Bisulfite, Chlorphenesin, Methylparaben. Neutralizer Pad: Aqua/Water/Eau, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Bicarbonate, Glycine, Benzalkonium Chloride. from the manufacturer Prep: Prior to the first peel, it is recommended that you use one Step 1 Activator Pad and one Step 2 Neutralizer Pad on a small inconspicuous part of your face following the directions below. If there is no irritation or discomfort after 24 hours, you may proceed with a peel of the entire face. Cleanse the face with an Exuviance cleanser. Apply a Step 1 Activator Pad over the entire face, avoiding eye area, lips and any area of sensitivity. Then discard pad. Carefully monitor the skin¿s response to the Peel by observing any redness or discomfort, including stinging, burning, itching, tightness, tingling and peeling. Apply a Step 2 Neutralizer Pad to the face after 10 minutes, or sooner if you experience bothersome redness or discomfort. Apply over entire face (avoiding eyes and lips), and then rinse the face thoroughly with water. Apply a moisturizer such as Exuviance Overnight Transformation Complex.
