I got the two-person version to set up at my summer cottage. Overall I liked it quite a bit, but it's better for certain circumstances than others. Pros: • Super lightweight. Would be great for backpacking, hiking, or camping • Seems to be made of high quality and trustworthy materials of sufficient strength • Wraps around you and seems to block the wind somewhat (if that's what you're going for). Would be ideal when combined with a sleeping bag • Exceptionally good price and value! Cons: • The hammock itself is pretty thin, I think it could tear if it scraped against the ground • Speaking of, it stretches quite a bit so I had to lay in it and readjust it a couple of times to get it the ideal height. Perhaps that was a first-time thing though and it may remain stretched next time • It's a bit hard to imagine two people being in it at the same time, it'd be pretty cozy (if that's what you're looking for). • It's probably not ideal for say reading a book or watching the clouds because it doesn't say flat, it's much better if you want to be securely contained within it as it wraps around you like a cocoon • The straps are well built and pretty long, but I had some trouble finding two trees that were the ideal width apart. Not sure much can be done about this and, in the woods, options would be plentiful. It's only if you wanted to put this on your property where there may be limited options that it could be challenging. I own a lot of gear by the maker and really like their hunting, fishing, and hiking products. If you're looking for a perfect lightweight purpose-built hammock to go hiking or camping with, I'd recommend this one.

This is a very nice and portable hammock. Lighter than packs up smaller than I would have expected. The straps and system for hanging it up is very well thought out and efficient. I picked a couple of trees that looked about the right distance and had it up in just a few minutes. The straps make it very easy to adjust height with multiple loops on the straps. The straps have some sort of antislip ribbing on them and they stayed in place with no problems. The inflatable pillow was much nicer than I anticipated with a soft coating that makes it comfortable and soft. It has a valve that is very easy to inflate and a push button to deflate. The storage bag is sewed onto and stays connected to the side of the hammock in a convenient place to hold a water bottle or other small items when you use it. When I packed up it all went back into the sack without requiring a lot of fiddling and the straps were easy to roll up and get in the bag with the hammock and pillow. It all seems very surprising durable and I don’t have any concerns about durability. Overall, I am pleasantly surprised and impressed. It is a well engineered set that I highly recommend if you are in the market for a portable hammock.

I purchased this hammock to compare to a similar product that I own. I don't think you can find a better travel (packable) hammock for the price than this option from Extremus. There is nothing that I would consider "bad" about it. At this price, I feel bad nit picking it, but some small changes could further distance this hammock from the competition that it has on the market. The good stuff: -It is lightweight and packable. -The fact that it comes with a packable inflatable pillow is a great touch which barely takes up any space. -The carabiner hardware feels solid and strong. -I love how easy it is to pack up and store in the pocket attached to it. What could be better: -I wasn't able to damage the hammock fabric in any way, but when stretched I can see through it, which makes me worry that over time the durability might be questionable. -It's easy to set up, but it should come with some basic instructions. -Try not to remove the carabiner from the hammock, unless you need to wash it. When the carabiner is removed from the fabric that it is looped through, the fabric pulls back itself through the hammock sheet fabric and re-threading it is a pain. It's like re-threading the pull cord on a hoodie sweater.

The media could not be loaded. I purchased this for my own use as I've enjoyed using my wife's expensive name brand hammock. I was shocked to find very similar straps, if not exactly the same. The price I paid for this "ready-to-go" hammock was the price of her straps alone. We both sat in the hammock to verify it's strength and it held up great. We heard no rips or strain on the material. We forgot to bring her hammock so she opted to use mine for several hours. In her opinion, she felt the material is thinner than hers and believes that's the difference in cost. However, I explained the thinner material is less weight, more compact when packed in it's own pocket, and still just as durable. The clips are heavy duty metal and not like some cheap plastic types. I was surprised at the quality of the included pillow which was a nice bonus. The pillow has a nice shutoff valve making fill up with your mouth very quick and easy. Definitely recommend this hammock. My only issue I had was trying to untie the knot when first opening, which was only annoying because I was rushing for the video.
