The BoatTector 3.5 lb. Deluxe Grapnel Anchor Kit is perfect for use with personal watercraft, canoes, kayaks, SUPs or small inflatable boats. Includes a 3.5 lb. galvanized folding anchor, 3/16" x 4' anchor chain with 1/4" shackles, 25' rope with plated steel snap hook, marker buoy, and durable padded nylon storage bag. Grapnel anchors hold well in coral, rocky, or heavily weeded bottom conditions and are ideal for short term anchoring. The anchor folds to store easily inside the storage bag alongside the rope, chain, and marker buoy.

This is one of the better construct small anchors you can buy. The small included chain is a must for any anchor to work properly. Most this size do not have that feature. I used this on a three day river excursion. We used this anchor frequently for fishing and at night while our canoe was on shore. The river we were on had a very rocky bottom and this anchor held us in place no problem. I think the chain really makes a big difference and ensures that the anchor lays on its side on the bottom.
