I like this anchor a lot for our inflatable boat. Pair it with a nice clippable line and it works great in shallow water. It's well made, well coated, and drains/cleans easily. I think you'd need a lot of line for deep lake for this 8 lb weight to make a difference, though.

I use one of these for my jet ski along with an anchor bungee line. It digs into the sand easily and has enough holding power for a pwc even in strong currents. I never liked physically beaching my jet ski for fear of sand, shells, and debris becoming stuck inside the intake grate. Much less of a hassle to anchor it a few feet off the beach. As advertised, good price. Standard mushroom anchor, good for mud/sandy bottoms and light capacities. I use for anchoring my hunting kayaks in marsh environments. Don't use this for anchoring your yacht. Or even a 12-16' fishing boat unless you're in quiet water.
