Description

Board your pontoon easily and safely with the Extreme Max Undermount Pontoon Ladder. This welded aluminum ladder attaches to two pontoon stringers and stows under the front deck. Ladder is secured in the stowed position by a heavy-duty rubber strap. Deploy the ladder by unhooking the strap and sliding the ladder out and into the water. Wide, sturdy traction rungs make boarding comfortable for children or adults with 12" rung spacing. Boarding ladder area: 12.5" wide with 1.5" grooved rungs. Includes stainless steel mounting hardware. Note: For pontoons with underside sheeting or closed channels that do not allow access to the topside of the pontoon's stringers, additional mounting hardware will be needed and is not included. Use marine-grade stainless steel self-tapping screws to fasten your ladder in place instead of the provided mounting hardware.

The installation went smooth. Removed the bump stop to gain access for the installation. Used camps to get is where I wanted and used a long 1/4 inch drill bit to ease the installation. I used a hammer and punch to seat the carage bolts. Tighten the bolts then give them a hit with the hammer/punch. Then re-tighten and repeat if needed. Being a tritoon I ended up with a gap on the side but will add a block or weld on a piece to cover the gap. A great addition to the boat. Moves in and out nicely. No binding. ... show more

Let me try to give a good review and information for potential buyers. I've read many of the reviews and find many buyers lacking in their thoughts. On my boat, I found it very easy to remove the trailer ladder/bump stop to get to the front of the boat to install the new ladder. Ok, so the product is overall good, I'm glad to have this ladder for bow boarding of my pontoon. Install is very simple and doesn't require two people. I used 3 bungie cords and used 4 C clamps after supporting ladder with the bungies to hold the ladder up and nearly in the right mounting place I choose, easy to do and the ladder is so lightweight. OF COURSE file the sharp edges with a file after first receiving your ladder if necessary, easy. As far as the screaching sound goes when sliding the ladder in and out. Well that also has a super simple cure, look for the rub marks of metal on metal and use axle/bearing grease. Once it's greased, no more screatching metal on metal sounds, simple fix. And where the grease is applied, it is inside the carriage, so no worries about getting grease on anyone during use. Mounting was simple but could be made even easier with a wider flange extending to the outside of the carriage to make it easier to drill and support the carriage/ladder holder during the install. And yes, the mounting bolts are the wrong type. Definitely the wrong choice by the manufacturer and you may need longer bolts depending on the way you decide to mount your ladder. If someone is a heavier person and is carrying a heavy item, such as a full cooler, or a heavy amount of fishing gear, sure, I could see the ladder being over loaded and breaking, it's easy to just put items on the boat first and then use the ladder hands free to grab rails and stabilize the short climb up and down, safer anyway, right? The guest was at the upper limit of the weight, and I reached out to customer service and they responded the next morning and immediately overnighted a new ladder to us.     • Works great but a little long for sand bars. Barefoot hurts a bit use sandals
I mounted on the front of a 20 foot pontoon boat, easy to mount just drill the holes and bolt up. You can drill the holes for the front hook on your boat and bolt if right back in the same place. Biggest warning ⚠️ If you have a scissors trailer, you will have to remove the ladder for transport, or in my case, I'm refabricating the trailer to make it work.     • Very sturdy
This is replacing a ladder that used hooks in the floor of our pontoon. The old one took up a lot of space and was not really that sturdy. This attaches to the bottom of the boat using the floor braces and is very sturdy and takes no floor space.

    • Great Pontoon Ladder
We love this boat ladder for our pontoon! We had a slight welding issue and it broke but this company is super helpful and is sending a replacement. We are very happy about this because this ladder is perfect to get on and off our pontoon easily! This was a super easy install and super easy to use!
