This is a powered antenna using 3-5 vdc. It works for a number of Garmins as listed, I found it works well for the larger A series Raymarine MFDs which have a coaxial socket for the GPS antenna. Works fine as an antenna. The cord coming out the side is not good if you want it mounted with the cord through to the inside of your boat. I carefully carved out the hole in the side so I could pass the BNC connector into the base so that the cord passes through the boat and does not show. I filled the hole in the side of the antenna with marine Tex. But caulk would do. A bit of a pain, but it works. I didn’t notice that when I ordered it. I wouldn’t do it again. ... show more
