I wanted my Cricut Maker specifically to cut fabric, so of course I got this blade because it says that's its main purpose. When I finally started to try and use it with a fabric setting the program said I needed a rotary blade (which I don't have) so I tried a vinyl setting and it was ok for my first cut then it wasn't. I didn't have the correct grip board and the correct blade/setting so it wasn't working out well. So I intend on getting the correct blade and matt and hopefully I will have better results.

This gold housing doesn’t hold the blade at the same depth that the Cricut brand (silver housing in pic) does so it messes with all the cut settings on the machine. Very disappointing and it’s too late to return. }

I was so excited to get this, I just got a cricut machine and wanted to cut fabric. This thing ripped the fabric and tore it off the mat. It does not cut AT ALL so don’t waste your money
