  • The perfect camping bed
In the last couple years I've found a real love for the outdoors but one thing that always messed with me was sleeping. Sleeping bags, air mattresses, bedrolls, nothing ever really worked for me and my partner. we both were either incredibly uncomfortable, too hot or cold, or the bed would deflate over night and we would wake up sore on the hard ground. We found some videos online for this and decided to treat ourselves to ourselves for our anniversary and I can honestly say it's perfect. It holds its shape and firmness despite how often I move around. It holds both me and my partners weight perfectly and inflates itself quickly. Its easy to roll up and the sidewinder bag it comes with is awesome and oversized so when I have to roll it up (my wife has patience to do it much slower than I do) even the sloppiest of jobs fits in the bag. I also have to mention that the mattress does not retain stains or smells. My dog had an accident on the bed while we were camping one night and it cleaned easily and didn't smell at all. I doubt you will see that mentioned in any other reviews. We did have to scrub it and let it dry overnight but thankfully the next day it was good as new and you couldn't tell where our poor pup had that accident. If you love the outdoors and have been struggling to find something, this is it. The price might be a bit intimidating at first, but it's paid for itself a thousand times over in me waking up feeling well rested while camping. ... show more

  • Slight preference for this mattress over the outfitter version.
I purchased both the Megamat outfitter 10LXW and a regular Megamat 10 LXW. I don’t write many reviews, but did for this product because I wanted to answer the questions I felt were poorly answered in my own research. So far, I love the perceived durability and peace of mind of the Outfitter version. The regular version feels softer, more bed-like and the fabric is quieter than the outfitter. We are using them to replace the mattress in our pop up travel trailer and it is going to be a great fit. With the added bonus that we can remove them easily and use them elsewhere. For the record, I am 5’10” and 300 pounds, and the mattress has survived well with myself and my two 7 year old boys, or with myself and the wife crammed on it. I have tried the mattress on a houseboat roof, in front of the TV and on the deck stargazing. By having a separate mat for the wife and myself, we can each adjust to our desired firmness without affecting the other person. I don’t know how they do it, but these do not roll like your typical airbed. I have tried the mattress both firm and soft. Firm requires about 30 pumps with the include pump. The softest I have tried (which seems too limp until you get on) is the fill by opening the valve alone. I was surprised to find that I prefer it on the softer side. I was pleasantly surprised at how easily the mattress can be rolled up to approximately the same tightness as it came from the factory. We watched one video that compared them to a college dorm mattress, that was a poor choice of words and a bad comparison. I would compare these to a regular mattress at home, they are probably as comfortable as a home mattress (including for side or stomach sleeping) or more comfortable due to the adjustability. It is difficult to say which version I prefer, both are excellent, and very comfortable. I suspect the regular version will prove to be adequately durable, so that is probably the version I would buy if there ever were a next time… ... show more

  • Great mattress
This thing is so comfortable and easy to set up. Feels almost as good as my home mattress. I bought the megapump to go with this so inflating takes no time at all. I've had it filled with air for a week straight and haven't seemed to have lost any air firmness in the past few nights of use. The 4 inch thickness is perfect for my large body. There's no shifting of air and I have a perfect level of support. ... show more

  • Expensive Garbage
Size: Duo Long Wide Plus
Do not buy!!! I purchased this sleeping mat 5 months ago because I was looking for a better nights sleep when camping. The first time I used it it completely deflated within 4 hours of sleep. I had to wake up in the middle of the night to pump it up by hand with the included (gimmicky) manual air pump. Very frustrating. The material is weaker than the plastic on my air mattress. It has now punctured several times in the following months. Most of which were in a truck camper! Simply from sitting on it keys in my back pocket! I wanted to love this sleeping mat, because when its inflated and it holds air it really is comfortable. But not once since I've owned it have i had a good night's rest. Its expensive and does not warrant the price tag. It deflates on its own extremely quickly, the foam offers no support when its deflated. Punctures easily. Only comes with 2 patches. And is costs $400+. Don't waste your money. ... show more

  • Fits a 22' outback wilderness like a GLOVE!
This thing is as good as all the reviews im sure youve seen everywhere. You can adjust the firmness by adding more or less air. Its built well and i think it IS worth the price. My first one was cut and didnt hold air well and they replaced it no questions asked even though it was probably my fault. It wasnt SUPER well insulated on the ground in 40° weather in a tent but im not sure they claim it to be. Im 6' tall and with a pillow and lying on my stomach, my toe beans hang off the end. Just as a point of reference. The pump works great! Its not very heavy and is nice and wide. I wish they made it a few inches longer but thats my problem for being taller than average i suppose. ... show more
