Well made, and very useful, and just as important it doesn't look like I'm carrying a purse, or man-bag, or whatever. Think colonial America haversack . I bought both sizes and they are great. I hike and do orienteering, and was unsatisfied with my fanny pack and backpacks. My fanny pack was clunky and a bit too small. With a backpack, you either need to take it off, or ask or as a friend, annoying and slower. Size: I use both haversacks, depending on how much I need to carry, but both sizes easily carry a water bottle, snacks and maps, with room left over. The larger one I use for shopping at the Sunday market. Material: I love the weight and feel of their waxed canvas. The thickness is great for what I need, not too heavy, and not too light. Also the haversacks are strongly stitched. Their quality control is good. No little threads hanging off, Weight: It is light as a feather, and is easily folded, or stuffed and stowed when empty. Color: The colors are perfect for being in the woods or carrying books to the library. I like muted earth-tones. I'm a guy. Hot pink is not my vibe. Flaps: The flaps are well-sized, covering even a stuffed bag easily. Currently I can't see any need for a snap. Straps: Both are great. The larger bag has a d-ring for adjusting to ride on my butt or up behind my armpit. For the smaller one, for now I just knot the strap if I want a high behind-the-armpit ride. Maybe in the future I'll get a button or snap installed on the handle to adjust the ride. Handle: the bigger one has a canvas handle sewn into the body so you can pick it up by the handle only if you wish. I thought that was a very thoughtful and ergonomic touch. ... show more

This bag is surprisingly useful. I walk the dog every day and found this to be a great way to carry stuff i.e. phone, leash, treats, phone and even bear spray. It is big enough to stuff a lot of stuff and easy to carry and retrieve items. I would recommend it and buy again.

I absolutely love this bag!! I use it all the time in the woods or doing outside work. I usually pack it with dead kindling for fires. It fits my big loppers, gloves, or whatever I need to maintain my trail I have. I would buy again.

My kid likes to treasure hunt and tends to dig thing out of the ground. This bag holds all his stuff and cleans up well. It's nicely made and despite his rough treatment it is still holding its shape good. He think it looks cool and calls it the Indiana Jones bag.

Good bag, probably not real wax... I have the green waxed canvas bag. First impressions: ● Color was as advertised. ● Does not feel like true waxed canvas. ● Feels well made. ● Felt too deap at first, but when filled, it's perfect. ● Repells water great. I am pleased with the purchase, and if your looking for a simple, well made, rustic looking, water repellent bag, this will not disappoint. However, I could be wrong, but this does not feel like any waxed canvas I have seen. The feel and look is identical to untreated canvas. I assume they treated the canvas with a water based polymer or something simular, and not real wax. So if water proof is what you want, this is great, but if you want the feel and aging of waxed canvas, this is not going to check those boxes. I absolutely love this bag I use it for fossil hunting it's not to small or big it easily crosses over your body so that it doesn't slip off easy I would have preferred a few more color variations but it is worth every penny and will hold up for years to come.

I needed a bag for my sketch book and pencils, erasers etc. This bag is perfect! I got the small size but it holds a lot! I love the look and feel of it. I also appreciate that it’s waterproof. Now I can keep everything together and it’s ready to take with me whenever and wherever I go.
