Great mitor saw for everyday use but after many uses to cut metal the metal shavings start to stick and melt into platic. Other than that its safe and reliable easy to use for a good price.

Thought it was kind of neat at first even though the plastic knobs feel like the prize out of a box of cereal.... the clamp is completely useless, the degree pointer on the swivel is off and I had to use a heat gun to put it on but it's useless so you just have to use a Square to Square it. But the part that just made me get on here to give a one-star review was that I barely got 10 cuts on 1" × 1/8" angle, the blade is smeared! I guess it shouldn't be advertised as a metal cutting saw, there is plastic in bad spots also that the chips melt to. If it cut more then would have dealt with it but this thing completely bricked on me right in the middle of a project. Did I mention that the clamp is completely useless? I only payed $100 for this after it was on sale for $120 and I had $20 in Amazon purchasing credit....still sending it back.. I already had a 10-in miter saw but I thought this was going to be something special instead of a money pit for blades. I'll just continue using my portable bandsaw to cut steel. This thing should not be advertised as a multi-purpose metal cutting blade or we should be given a realistic life expectancy for cutting steel. ... show more

This may show as a multi-cutting blade and I’m sure its fine. I bought it for my small woodworking shop. I also saw how expensive the blades are. But you can run 5/8” arbor blades in this beauty. Just remove the stock blade, turn the arbor collar around and it says right there only for 5/8” arbor. It’s convertible right out of the box. I run a 60 tooth blade and it’s fantastic. ... show more

I wouldn’t recommend this saw, especially for metal work. 2 stars because the blade it comes will cut through steel tube as long as you don’t rush. But it’s still a flimsy blade. The plastic is not the greatest since metal will melt into it very easily. The biggest con: the blade is bolted so tight that I couldn’t get the arbor screw loose without breaking the arbor lock button on the motor which keeps the blade from rotating while loosening/tightening the screw (I wanted to swap the blade for a steel specific blade). This is even worse if the blade has to be replaced later due to wear and tear. I would look for something a little better. ... show more

Absolutely the perfect tool for my Closet retrofit project. This saw easily cut wood shelves as well as metal hanging rod tubing. Both with the blade that comes with it. A very light touch during cutting is all that is required and there were a lot less sparks than you normally get with a cutting wheel while cutting the metal tubing.
