Mine was dead true 90-deg vertical blade, and 90 to the fence with no adjustment. Rotating surface is true and co-planar with the two stationary table surfaces (that's important). Very little play in the saw-head. Nice clean cuts in wood. Haven't tried it in metal yet, although I have used similar cold-cut blades and all have performed well. One little flaw is that it doesn't have a switch for the laser. If the machine is plugged in, the laser is on. But I'll live with that. So far, it's a GREAT little saw. This saw is just the size I need! Not too big and heavy and does the job. With the proper blade it works well to cut steel as well as wood. It seems to be made well and I've had no problems with it at all. And the price was pretty reasonable too!! It has done everything I needed to do. Wish I'd bought it a long time ago!! ... show more

Space is limited where I am but this saw fits the bill. I only need to cut small pieces of wood or metal and this does exactly what I need with very high accuracy. Make sure you get the metal cutting blade. It will cut wood just fine. The multimaterial blade doesn't really leave the cleanest cuts in metal and sometimes grabs in wood. ... show more

Awesome miter saw for the price, I got the 7 1/4 inch blade miter saw because I live in an apartment and I don't have alot of space and I needed a miter saw and this one fit the bill. It is a great quality product that doesn't break the bank and does everything I need it to and have asked of it.
