I changed over to a Google Pixel 2 XL Android phone from Apple, and was looking for something as close as possible to the "iPhone 8 Plus / 7 Plus Silicone Case - Black". The closest thing I found was the tech21 Evo CHECK case. It's 95% of what I was looking for. The 5% missing is that the Evo Check is not quite as "sticky" on countertops/desks/dashboards as the Apple Silicone case, and it's juuuuust slightly larger than I wanted (it could be looser in my Expolrer console cup holder. I love this case! I recently purchased a Google Pixel 2 XL (all black) and this case was featured in an article by one of those tech websites. I like the feel of the case; it has a ridged but flexible bend when it's not on the case. The buttons feel good to press when the case is on the phone. The charging port cutout is large so the charging cord can easily fit. The only complaint I have is it shows all oil/smudges on the back/smooth part which I wipe periodically. ... show more

I bought this for my Pixel 2 XL because I have this same case for my Pixel 1 XL; best case ever1 Not really bulky, good surround protection for the front. One of the best features is it's "tackiness". It has a rubbery tactile feel that really helps keep a hold on it and just tacky enough to stay in place when using between your face and shoulder for no-hands talking. A little pricey for a simple rubber case, but it is so well made and provides good, minimal protection for my really expensive phone!!! ... show more

I love the feel of this case. I bought this because a friend has an iPhone case also from Tech21 which has saved his phone before. I haven't had any serious drops just yet, but the grip is nice and firm, not slippery, and just generally accents the black Pixel 2XL really nicely. Also, this is a great value to purchase used if you have the option. I only had a minor cosmetic stuff on the volume button part of the housing, and the one I bought came in a box! ... show more

Got this case for my phone, then got my dad same phone and got him same case. Case has saved my phone through several drops (including on kitchen's stone tiles!). Buttons easy to use with case on. Slightly rubberized texture helps in holding phone. Great case, great brand!

    • Perfect Case!! Protection Without the Bulk!
This case is always my go-to! Maximum protection, minimal added size! This thing had survived multiple falls and not a scratch on my phone! I previously had the clear one but it got dirty, so I went for the smoke color. Also adds a nice "grip" feel as well. My favorite Pixel 2XL case hands down!

So I had this same case for the LG V20 I owned before my Pixel 2XL. Loved it to death. But for this phone, the buttons seem to be much harder to press, and the case is significantly harder to remove. So much so that it tends to interfere with the edges of screen protectors you've applied. Unfortunately, had to move on to another case. ... show more
