    • Hose that handles the heat.

PTFE 6AN hose had a Teflon hose as the inner hose to transport the fluid safely during high pressure and high heat. I needed this for my transmission fluid cooler. Other hoses reportedly can not handle the heat if there is a problem and my fluid temperature was running 266 degrees F before the cooler. Other hoses would have melted or burst but this hose is rated to handle that temp. The nylon outer covering is tightly woven allowing the included fittings to easily slide over the outer covering. The hose is stiff but can flex enough to follow a curve as long as it is not a sharp curve. This kit comes with hose, six fittings, two straight, two 45 degrees, two 90 degrees and a tool to straighten the Teflon and install the inner compression fitting after cutting/chopping it. Blow out the debris! The hose can be cut with a hand hacksaw like I did and following the instructions/youtube videos, install the fittings properly. The fittings will mar if you do not use the proper wrenches if you care. I just used my regular wrenches and secured them. I did notice that the 45 and the 90 fittings allow rotation even after fully tightened. ... show more
