  • A Perfect (Easy) and Solid Solution
Size: 3.0 inch - 2pcs
This is a great solution when you need to replace a section of exhaust tubing easily without taking loose multiple sections of pipe to fit a flared connection. I used this to replace a rusted out resonator on a 2012 F250. A regular 3" piece of tubing slip fit into the muffler at the rear and then this butt joint at the front. The connection is really solid and super tight, despite some reviews to the contrary. I'm 100% pleased. Heck, if I want to take things apart later and create the flared connection, I can, but for the price and the ease of using this butt clamp, I'm happy to leave this in place for as long as it holds up. I can't imagine it failing anytime soon. ... show more

  • The Fit was spot on!
Size: 2.0 inch
Product as discribed.. solid steel made, clamps so tight to exhaust pipe it was unbelievable how great a product fits...expecially for my application. You must measure the outside diameter of your exhaust pipe before you order, If you have a pipe 2 inches wide then order the 2 inch clamp for a exhaust seal so tight the pipe does not leak fumes into your vehicle. I will buy again! This clamp will eliminate you having to use a pipe spreader to mate male to female pipe together. This clamp is for butting up cut pipe of the same size...as I have not used it to seal over a male to female connection..i do not know if that type of connection is leak proof, but I suspect it would be. ... show more

  • Just what I needed
Size: 2.25 inch
My old, rusted out exhaust was so badly welded together by crud that I had to cut through it- the muffler pipe wouldn't just slip out of the flared end like it should. Now, when installing the new muffler, I obviously couldn't get the *new* pipe into the old flared end, since a piece of the old muffler pipe was stuck in there. Enter this simple, yet effective butt joint clamp... I simply cut the new pipe to the correct length to create a butt joint, strapped this band clamp over, and tightened everything down firmly. Works great and seems to have formed a great seal. No exhaust noise, no rattling. Great solution for joining 2 pipes of the same diameter! I don't think I'd recommend using it where the pipes on both sides of the clamp aren't supported, but as long as they're secured to an exhaust hanger, this clamp will hold the joint together really well! ... show more

  • Easy to use on a Jeep Wrangler.
Size: 2.25 inch
This was a easy way to connect up all the parts for the 1995 Wrangler. They are great for the price and seal up nicely. FloridaJeepRides thanks you.

  • A must have for bending steel pipe.
Size: 2.0 inch - 2pcs
I bought the Walker 47993 (2" Diameter - 7' Long) 16-Gauge Straight Exhaust Tube (Amazon) for making a motorized bicycle or moped, but I needed something that would allow me to poor sand into the pipe and tamp it in tight so as to prevent warps and unwanted bends in the pipe when bending to a 90 degree angle. These Butt Joint Exhaust Band Clamps are built like a brick outhouse. To use these, I will cut out a disk from 1/4" steel plate with an O.D. that matches the I.D. of the butt joint clamp, pop-rivet it into place with steel pop-rivets, then drill a 3/8" hole in the center of the disk and weld a 3/8" course thread nut to the outside of it. I will cut another disk out of 1/4" steel plate with an O.D. that matches the I.D. of the pipe. The idea is to clamp the Butt Joint Clamp onto the end of the pipe, drop the smaller steel plate disk down the pipe, poor sand in until the pipe is full, then clamp an identical butt joint clamp on the fill end. The end cap on each of the butt joint clamps will have a hex 3/8" course thread bolt screwed into it so that by turning it you push the smaller steel plate disk up into the pipe and compact the sand. And then, put it into my 2" pipe rated hydraulic pipe bender (Amazon), and pump that handle hard and fast. ;-) ... show more

  • Seems a better way to go than the U bolt style clamp
Size: 2.0 inch
If you've ordered exhaust pipe sections online you know the longer ones like mid pipes get shipped in two pieces and you have to join them via a male/female sleeve type connection. You'll probably receive a U-bolt style clamp with it to hold them together. Mine predictably leaked at that joint with the U bolt style clamp, so I bought this one instead. Seems like a much better solution than the cheap u-bolt, and mine didn't leak once I had tightened it up as much as I possibly could. You can't do that with the U-bolt because over-tightening one of those just crushes the pipe from a couple of pressure points, where this type of clamp seems to apply even clamping force around the circumference of the pipe. ... show more

  • Great fit and strong product.
Size: 2.25 inch
I bought this clamp to replace a compression type clamp that a shop used to mate the tailpipe to the muffler on a 1993 Jeep Wrangler YJ 2.5. The compression clamp was not getting the job done due to the way that the pipes were cut and mated together. I bought this clamp to replace the compression clamp. With this new clamp, I was able to use a basic butt joint between the tailpipe and the muffler. This clamp worked great for solidly mating the butt joint together. I was impressed that I cranked down pretty hard on the clamping nuts. I was waiting for the clamp to break under the stress, but it held together very well and is doing the job it was intended for. ... show more

  • Passed inspection. Surprising quality
Size: 2.0 inch
Good quality for the money. I cut off a rusted flange and left about a 1 inch gap between the two pipes. This thing is not meant to hold a gap together, its meant for a tight butt-joint. However, over 750 miles later this quick fix has not only passed strict massachusetts inspection, but is actually very solid and sturdy. I recommend using an exhaust temperature grade RTV sealant between all parts to prevent exhaust leaks. ... show more
