I decided to take a chance on this product from this vendor for my upcoming event in Jan '24. I needed a Viking costume and I saw this one several places online but too expensive and looked really stiff, wasn't sure about sizing either. Well THIS IS THE RIGHT ONE! The size is right-on and adjustable with side laces which makes it really versatile. The green faux leather is flexible and looks like the real thing, I will be weathering it a bit cuz Vikings are pretty beat up you know. This arrived folded up in a large envelope so I thought it was not going to be a good product but it was in perfect condition since it folds along the black base fabric that the faux leather is attached to.. clever. The leg pieces had a fold/crease across the lowest piece but I have reshaped it since I have time to let it adjust. It did have a factory smell but I have it airing out and the smell is disappearing. I don't think Vikings are supposed to smell good anyway. I will be changing out the buckles as I think they are too fancy for my character. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and it did arrive on the earliest expected date. I have time to create the rest of the character around this piece. If you’re just starting out trying for a leather look then this is a good place to start. Suede is thin and light-wish it was separated like the top but the two pieces front and back are solid. The buckles are mostly for show. Wish it was buckle straps on the sides-hard to put on yourself. The faux leather is nice but it almost needs something like decoration. It looks decent for a costume you don't use often. The buckles are cheap plastic and the material is flimsy. definitely not for combat, definitely not leather. But it looks like the picture, and fits description.

Good basic material-inside padding is felt(soft black material)outside layer soft leather looking material, haven't put it thru it's paces yet. Awesome presentation, what you see in picture for the product is what you get. The people did great job at how it came thru the mail. The care there is much apricated. Also some pushpins (that keep the felt and leather together) there were few extra of them. The just in case repairs are needed.
