I was getting the common code that signifies either a bad thermostat or temperature sensor. I started with the thermostat, it went on easy and worked perfectly. The code disappeared. I bought a special funnel on Amazon to help bleed all the air out of the coolant system when I finished. That worked perfect as well and I had no issues with overheating or anything. These people who think you have to buy Mopar/Jeep thermostats are crazy it’s all in how you install it. First I pulled the Jeep front tires up onto some 2 x 12 wood blocks and I raised the front end 3 inches, that helps keep air out of the system and helps it rise to the top it will bleed out better. Remember to check to remove the old gasket that is from the original thermostat. Mine was stuck on the block. ... show more

I bought this in July of 2022. It worked great for a year and a half, but then the Jeep started running warm this summer. Everything else in the cooling system was replaced when this thermostat was installed. I swapped this one out for a Dorman 902-852 Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing Assembly. The new Dorman runs cooler overall. At least these things are cheap, and easy to install. ... show more
