The 50L grinder arrived and is much too big for me but after using it I love it. Definitely keeping it. And will share milling with the family and friends. It states it is for home or small farm use. I come from a small farm and they are correct. It grinds in a matter of seconds, grinds effortlessly as fast as you pour the grain in the one inch hole in the hopper. There are four screens in addition to the one already screwed in. That one works perfectly for flour. See pic of bread. If you were milling corn for grits you would pick a larger one. Changing screens is easy , remove the nut and washer, pull off old screen, set new one on top and replace washer and nut. Safety directions are good. Definitely not for around children. Ear plugs are good - I wore them and glasses helpful as some pieces of grain spray up vertically when you get to the end of your batch. They go straight up, do not go on your floor but if you are watching the hopper you could get sprayed. The knives are visible and can be wiped off. Directions for use of the grinder are dismal, need to be written. My son knew to simply push the switch in until the upper and lower ends snapped. I didn’t have a clue. It doesn’t tell you what to use the different screens for, just tells you to pick the right one. I expected a big learning curve using it, stressed over the lack of directions ( I’m not mechanical) but it was actually quick and simple. After the first use I was thrilled. It’s not a pretty grinder to set on your counter, it’s “ farm” machinery that works fast and easily. Baking day is fun! ... show more

I’ve long envied those bakers who have sung the praises of their very expensive European grain mills, but this was an impulse purchase when I saw it become available via the Vine program. I jumped on the chance and didn’t think much more about it, until it arrived. Once I figured out what was in the box and started to get it out, I was floored—what on earth am I going to do with this behemoth; where am I going to put it? This sure wasn’t that cute wooden European countertop grinder. Well, it’s now 2 months later, and I’ve grown to not only understand what to do with it, but grown to love this ugly duckling. It’s big, but it doesn’t require huge quantities to grind effectively. It just reliably does its job, yah, it’s a challenge to store, but when in use, it has a small footprint. Yes, it continues to have a larger capacity than I need, but that just gives me room to grow ' ... show more
