I have tried several boots from different manufacturers over the years. I had 3 pairs of a Red Wing boot I loved but the soles weren't replaceable and the boots eventually wore out. So, moved on to Timberland. Have two different versions of their "Pro" boots, one with a non-repairable sole, and one with. The non-repairable sole boots broke in and were comfortable. However, they wore out too, and the soles cracked open. The other pair is till going but their was a substantial break-in period. I also own another pair of Red Wing 'Irish setters' and They absolutely kill my feet after 5-6 hours. Enter Ever-Boot. I bought the Steel toe version. $70. From minute one these boots were comfortable. NO break in period it seems. Wore them all day for three days brand new, no issues. I even had to step into 3" of water a few times the first day and my feet stayed dry. They are roomy, but I would say not oversize. I didn't want to buy a half-size lower and find they were too tight so i just bought my size and I'm satisfied. For a $70 boot, these can't be beat thus far. The sole is, as some stated, harder rubber so make sure to wear them on concrete and gravel to get the soles broken in and scuffed up before you take them onto a roof for instance, otherwise you'll slide right off. If they last a year I'll have gotten my money"s worth. I'm already thinking of ordering a second pair. With Amazon's return policy, just order them. You can't go wrong. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ UPDATE 10/13/20 I stand by the original review I posted on these boots. However, I see where some reviewers are coming from when they state these boots run a size or half-size too big. After wearing them for construction on numerous occasions I have noticed they have gotten more roomy inside. Now when I go down an incline, my foot slides a bit inside the boot. So, you MAY want to order a half size smaller and see what happens during subsequent use. They're still pretty decent but I do find that no matter what boots I'm wearing, I really need to change them out midday for another pair as my feet get tired of the same boot after working in them for 4-5 hours. ... show more

I go through boots fast. I’ve paid nearly $400 for boots and have had them last less than a year. These are much cheaper. Stitching is tough, soles are comfortable and stitched on rather than glued like a lot of the boots at this price point. I’ve had them a couple months now and they function as new. The media could not be loaded. Only had for 2weeks, so far so good. I have to wear an arch support, in one boot, from a previous injury and I don't even notice a difference in the comfort. They keep water out within reason, definitely not waterproof but resistant enough for most work. They are pretty comfortable considering ( 8+ hrs a day lots of ladder use, climbing, standing in place) and I didn't notice a need for any break in time at all. Not heavy and I didn't notice any smell but leather. I wear 11.5 in most shoes but 12 in these are perfectly fine. I say gettem if you need a pair of boots for a while, I don't see these holding up to extreme use for more than a year or so tops, but they're working for my needs so far. ... show more

These are my 3rd pair of boots! I love this boots because they are very comfy , steel toe and waterproof. The brown also gives it a nice look… the first week or two it may feel stiff but after they are broken in they are amazing

Get them!!! I’ve had these boots for over a year now and the sole is still fully attached. No holes in the leather and the laces have not broken. I work rough construction everyday and these boots have been through the worst. I can 100% guarantee that these boots will outlast any 150$-200$ boots you can buy at the store. I highly recommend them. I can promise you that you will not find a better boot at a better price anywhere period. I’m buying my second pair and my originals are still kicking. I've been wearing these boots daily for 3 months now. They are easily the most comfortable boots I have ever worn, and I do really like them, BUT, the leather, whatever type it is, is pretty weak, it rips and tears pretty easy. I do carpentry work, just basic remodeling on the interiors of people houses, and I have done one shingle roof in the last 3 months, I can still wear the boots, but as a way to remain professional looking I do not wear them now. This is my second pair of Ever Boots and my first "Tank S" steel toe version and I remain pleased for a variety of reasons. Overall, this is a good boot and a good value! My first pair was the soft toe version which I was very happy with until my feet went from a 10.5 wide to a needing a size 12. I still wear them for short periods of time because they are still in great shape and I want to get all the miles I can out of them. I purchased a second pair of the "Tank S" in size 11 but found the toe box was too small. While I had them, Ever Boot contacted me about fit issues due to a new thicker insole and offered to replace them with their standard insole. The new insoles arrived quickly but it didn't help. I then choose to return them (even after a month of wear!), and was able to do so with not problem! In other words, their service is GREAT. I moved up to a size 12 and everything seems all good. As others have mentioned in their comments/reviews, I would also suggest buy a premium pair of insoles for these boots. I am on my feet for nearly 8 hours for work and in almost constant motion and their insoles give out fairly quickly. Still, I think these are good boots and a great value! ... show more
