  • Awesome Tent!
I was hesitant on paying this much for a tent however pleasantly surprised with it. The material is high quality and pretty easy to put up with 2 people.

  • 10 Person Camping Blackout Tent
This tent exceeded our expectations. This is a huge tent and to put it into perspective we had a family movie night and not only did 2 families fit, we also had a table for the snacks, pillows, and covers and still has plenty of room. It is waterproof and blackout. We used it at night so the it was extremely dark and the kids loved every bit of it! The extra "porch" awning allows for more room as well. I really can't find a single thing to complain about. It has a carrying bag for easy travel. And the set up was fairly easy. We are completely satisfied with this 10 person tent. ... show more

  • Fantastic blackout tent with lots of room for a family, but it's heavy
This is a very nice size tent, but it is very heavy to carry. The poles are the bulk of the weight. The tent stakes are thick and heavy duty and will not bend easily. The tent is well made and completely lined in black waterproof blackout material. Because the tent is completely lined, I don't believe that it will leak if the outside gets wet, but the seams may leak so I recommend sealing the seams with seam sealer before you use it the first time and before each season. The floor is a solid piece of tarp material that extends up the edges four or five inches to help keep water out. The tent itself is almost completely dark once the rainfly is in place. (See picture) There are only very small slivers of light that were able to come through. This tent is fantastic for families who need to have their children take naps during the day but won't sleep well unless it is dark. It is also great for people who don’t want to wake up with an early sunrise while camping. There are two doors on this tent. One door is on the end while the other is on one of the sides. Over the end door is an awning that can be opened up and staked out with a couple of poles. This end door is only a screen, however. There is no inner door on the end of the tent. That means if you want the blackout properties or privacy you must drop the awning and zip it closed. In my mind that is a bit of a drawback. I would have rather have an inner door so you wouldn't have to keep setting up and taking down the awning. The only way to keep the awning in place is to stake down two poles and that is really annoying to have to take them down and put them back up several times during a campout. The tent has three fiberglass poles that go across the top in sleeves as is typical of many tents. One thing I really liked is that the sleeves go completely from one side of the tent to the other and are not open in the center. They do not require tying the poles in place on top of the center of the tent. The rain fly is fairly easy to get in place and has reinforced corners where it meets with the pole supports on the tent. This tent has a power port at two of the corners. This is nice as it allows you to use whichever corner is most convenient to your power source. Because the doors are on a side and an end, there is more versatility in how it can be set up in a campsite for easy access. Inside the tent there are five different mesh pockets under the windows for holding small gear. Each mesh pocket is divided in two, so you actually have eight pockets. There is a hook in the center of the tent that can be used to hang a fan or light fixture from the center of the tent. There is also a mesh gear loft that can be attached to the ceiling of the tent. The tent also comes with a room divider that easily attaches to plastic O-rings on the sides and ceiling of the tent. The O-rings on the ceiling are quite high and you may need to either attach the room divider to them before you put the side poles up or have something to stand on unless you are super tall. The room divider has a zipper that opens from the bottom and remains connected at the top. It has tiebacks on the sides so that during the day the divider can be open and tied back out of the way but at night it can be closed. With the room divider in place, both doors are on the same side of the divider. This makes it easy to put the children behind the divider and not disturb them when adults come back to the tent. The tent comes with easy-to-follow laminated instructions. I really like that they are laminated so you don't have to worry them getting wet and they easily cleans and wipes off if you get mud on them. The tent also comes with a detachable mud mat that attaches to the outside of the tent underneath the awning door. The pole bag is padded and divided to hold the fiberglass poles on one side and the regular poles on the other. It closes with Velcro to ensure that the poles do not shift and tear the tent while it's put away. The side poles come in three sections with nice plastic joints to help hold the poles in place. (See picture) Each of the side poles has a sticker showing which side is up so that it can be installed properly. The side poles are very stiff and require a little bit of maneuvering to get them to fit in the peg on the bottom and the plastic holder on the top. It is easier if you put the top in first. This tent needs two adult-sized people to set up. It would be very difficult to set up as an individual person. Also, we recommend wearing gloves when working with fiberglass poles (even brand new ones) to avoid getting painful fiberglass splinters. The carrying bag has a zippered expansion panel so it’s easier to get the tent back into the bag when you take it down. ... show more

  • Big tent but very heavy.
Big tent and it's heavy (but one person can carry). Pitching the tent wasn't easy. I've been camping and pitching various tents for over 20 years, but this one is one of the hardest tent to pitch. Top roof poles are color coded so fitting the pole was no issue. However, when I tried to stand it, it bends backward, making the roof cave in. Maybe I was doing it all by myself, but I had no problem with other 8-9 people tents which has far more poles. I was managed to erect the tent, I realize one of the pole on side are incorrect size. Two middle poles are smaller size than outer coner poles. I didn't see it on instruction, so when I tried to insert longer pole in the middle, it end of bending it and is about to break. I quickly replace to correct order, but one of the long pole is bent out of shape. I was surprise how easily it get bent.... Placing a rainfly was easier, but I had to fiddle to make sure logo end goes to front rather than side. Once it's up, it's very roomy tent. It hasn't leak any water yet in 3 rainy days. Great tent, but side tent pole could be better. Update: It rained again heavy last weekend. It wasn't windy, but three poles bent and the inside of the tent I found water puddles - large amount this time. Not sure if I would trust this tent in the rain anymore. The manufacture reach out to me based on my original review, asking for picture of the problemed poles. Here are three poles showing bent. ... show more

  • Excellent large camping tent
This large camping tent is an excellent addition to your camping gear for a large family. It may be able to sleep 10 people all in separate sleeping bags on the ground, but wouldn't be able to accommodate 10 cots. We had 6 individual air sleeping pads that were able to fit easily with 6 people sleeping on top of them comfortably. We had room to probably fit one or maybe 2 more depending on the configuration. I really like the room divider for extra privacy. The 4 zippered mesh roll up windows provides that ventilation from all sides without having to worry about which way the winds are blowing at the time of set up. There's a mesh overhead net window and a canopy to protect against rainfall. It's got a raised center at just about 7 feet so you can stand up straight even if you're on the taller side and not worrying about hitting the top. I like the front awning which is actually one of the side doors. It can provide extra shade if you want to set up a picnic blanket right in front of the tent to hang outside. Everything fit nicely into the storage bag after we unpacked and set the tent up. It's always a concern that things will have to be folded perfectly to fit right, but this had good space. It is a heavy bag though. The zippers run nicely and the construction/stitching of the tent overall seems very sturdy. I feel like this unit will last a long time as long as you take care of it. Very happy with this tent overall. ... show more
