I typically wear a medium in most vests. It has been my experience that leather motorcycle vests from most manufacturer's run large, very large and are not true to size, at least this has been my experience shopping for these. I bought this vest for basically three reasons. First, it is very reasonably priced. Second, it allows me to wear something other than a leather jacket to keep cooler when it’s nice outside and I go for a motorcycle ride. Lastly, it has two interior pockets in which I can put my i-phone and eyeglass case when I’m wearing jeans. I purchased this vest for my husband who ordinarily wears a 2X. The vest came and we were impressed as it looks and feels very nice. The design of the vest is nice also. The problem is it runs very small. My husband tried it on and it would not cover his chest. It did not even come close and my husband has lost some weight. I tried it on and it fit perfectly although the area around the arms is a bit large. I am normally a 1X. I ordered a 4X for him because I was not sure a 3X would give him any room to breathe.
