  • ENERGY SAVING AND MONEY SAVING:Evaporative cooler (aka swamp cooler). It is different from an air conditioner which use refrigerants to remove heat. It is more efficient than an air conditioner in the dry and heat climate, and the evaporative cooler(100watts) uses about 90% less energy. You will drastically reduce your power bill
  • IDEAL FOR DRY HEAT ARERS: The swamp cooler works by putting moisture into the air and then evaporating water in air that evaporation pulls heat out of the air. 2 degree cooling in 60% humidity of coastal CA, over 20 degree cooling in 30% humidity of mile-high AZ. The effects will be better as the lower humidity decreases
  • ADDING ICE OR ICEPACKS WOULD HELP A TON: The 5.3-gallon water tank allows the air cooler to run for hours without needing to be refilled. It comes with 4 ice packs. Add water to the ice pack that crystals are inside, close it and freeze them, then put the frozen packs in the top tray, making it a great option for those hot summer days
  • IMPRESSIVE FEATURES: Two control type of remote control and sensitive touch control. 12H timer off, widespread oscillation(left and right up and down), 3 speeds(low/med/hi) & 2 modes(normal & sleep), washable and reusable cooling pad
  • EASY TO USE & MOBILITY: No assembly needed beyond putting on casters. It's no need to install window kit like an portable A.C. With swivel casters on the bottom & side handles on this evaporative cooler, it's very easy to move around, even with a full tank of water.around, even with a full tank of water.
  • SERVICE & AFTER-SALES: It's cooler and more comfortable to use our evaporative cooler fan together with an air conditioner on extremely hot summer days. If you have any problems about cooling fan, please contact us in time, we will respond promptly within 24 hours

  • Missing some necessary features
What I liked. It's super light weight and easy to move around. The buttons are simple to use. It comes with a remote and you can easily add a small amount of water from the top, which slowly filters to the bottom tank. It holds 5.3 gallons of water. It comes with 4 icepacks but you can only use two at a time as water has to circulate around the ice packs. It blows a good amount of air (3 speeds) and oscillates. What I didn't like and unfortunately a lot. It would have been nice if the unit included a remote holder to store the small remote with the cooler. It doesn't. Then, you have to add water VERY slowly or it overflows. So filling the 5.3 gal tank really exceeded my patience. For a tank this size, you would think they would have a secondary fast filling option. With my old unit, I could fill it with a garden hose or a bucket and even add some ice cubes in the water tank but "no can do" with this unit. To clean the unit, you have to remove 11 sunken screws on the back panel; ...and you're supposed to clean the unit monthly. Removing that back panel was a hassle and made me actually not wanting to even use the product. Why didn't they make one of the side panels an easy access door? Also the instructions say to not run the Cooling cycle without water, but there isn't an auto-shutoff feature if the water runs low. It doesn't say what happens, just don't do it. I really wanted to love it but I don't know how this got through R&D and no one challenged the end product; especially having to remove 11 screws to clean it. It does work but IMO, missing some necessary features. ... show more

  • Powerful fan for cooling larger areas.
This indoor swamp cooler has a powerful fan which will do a very good job of cooling. The fan is very quiet on all speeds. There was no indication of how many cubic feet it will cool but it should cool at least twice as much as my other little cooler which is listed at cooling 100 square feet. That one actually does a good job of cooling 150 sf in a closed room at night and a 100 sf closed room by day. I got this new cooler to help cool my kitchen/dining nook/living room great room of 480sf under a cathedral ceiling. Comparing this to my other cooler I notice the plug on this one is not grounded. The materials on this one are somewhat flimsier, the plastic is of a lighter weight. The other one does not require opening and cleaning. It cost less. Because of the powerful fan I can tell this cooler will cool a much larger space better so I am happy with it. This locale has the most minimal humidity and swamp coolers work well here. The plastic freezer containers are easier to work with than ice cubes. It would be reassuring if the manual had diagrams and better instructions about the cleaning procedure. Comparing it to my old one I give this one 4 1/2 stars due to the thickness of the plastic and the non grounded plug. I do expect it to do a great job cooling a larger area. ... show more

  • Moves a good amount of air, cools similar to a swamp cooler
SUNGDOGIN Evaporative Air Cooler, Portable Swamp Cooler with 5.3Gal Water Tank, Water Fan Remote Control, Floor Oscillating, Cooling Fans 12H Timer,4 Ice Boxes,31-Inch The cooler comes economically packaged in a recyclable brown cardboard box. Right on top, there is some foam pillows and styrofoam molding to protect the cooler in shipment. In addition, the cooler is wrapped in a cell phone bag to keep it dust-free during shipment. The front of the unit where the air exits has a row of louvers that are manually adjustable to direct the air. The top of the unit is taped on with that blue tape that you see on many appliances when shipped. The blue tape doesn't seem to have a folded-over edge to grab, so you'll have to carefully cut it to get the top of the unit open. The upper front has flat touch push button controls for the air and water circulation. Packed inside the top of the unit are the caster wheels for the bottom and two blue ice containers. There are also two more blue eyes containers packed in the bottom[in the water reservoir drawer]. The blue ice containers come shipped dry without the water and just have a powder inside. The instructions about the blue ice jugs are likewise inside the top of the box. In the ziploc bag with the instructions. There's also a small remote to control it. The remote control has on off, cool button, a speed control button, a mode change button, a timer button, and another button to turn the swing function on and off. The remote itself is physically quite small. It's about 4 inch by 2 inch, so in my opinion it'd be really easy to lose it. We're planning on putting a piece of velcro on it and attaching it right to the unit so it'll be there in between uses. Looking at the instruction booklet, there's no real big surprises to the device. If you've used an air cooler like this in the past, the instructions for operation will seem similar. The unit fills from the top for your water. There is a clear water level indicator on the front of the water bucket/drawer on the bottom, and a drain in the very back so you can change the water. The instructions refer to filling and freezing the blue ice containers, but there's no line or anything on the ice container itself for the water quantity. I would recommend filling it at about 3/4 of the way so you have a little bit of airspace at the top. They recommend setting the blue ice containers aside for 30-40 minutes so that the little silica beads inside can swell up as they absorb the water. After that, you can toss it in the freezer. Freezing these overnight and then adding them to the top of the water reservoir will make the air coming off the device that much cooler, as the water runs past the blue ice containers as a circulates. In function, it does make some decent headway for cooling, but keep in mind if you live in a real humid area (such as Florida where we live) this will not feel as cool as a standard air conditioner. This in effect is an upcycled swamp cooler. If you're familiar with the older types of air conditioning. That doesn't mean it doesn't work. If you're working in a hot shop or on a hot patio, this will definitely cool you off and make a big difference. The difference is more noticeable if you're standing in front of it then across the room. ... show more

  • For when you dont have a window
This was great to try. I have it in my son's room and when it gets to be hot days and were not home to turn the AC on, I can use this to cool his room down quickly

  • Lightweight
The media could not be loaded. I love this fan. It’s easy to use, just pour the water into the top. It also comes with 4 reusable ice packs to keep the water extra cold. It wasn’t hard putting together. The hardest part is clicking in the wheels, it takes a lot of strength to push them in! Other than that, no other setup needed. It also has a remote so you can change the settings without getting off the couch. I’m very happy with this and would get again. ... show more
