These headlight assemblies are a huge improvement over the now cloudy jam jars of disappointment that my car had for headlights previously. Better range, better clarity, more light output, and that's using the same bulbs that I took out of the old ones, since I had LED bulbs before I got these. These do come with four new bulbs, high/low/marker/signal, per assembly. They also include a new dust cover, which the high/low wiring is routed through. All in all, at a 10' view, an excellent light. Looking closer, the details get a bit more of cheaped-out-on. One of the marker bulb sockets has a push-in barb instead of the bayonet connection, which makes it a real pain to change the bulb. The headlight plug pins don't fit quite like OEM, which makes it difficult to plug into the OEM headlight plug. The marker/signal pins are similarly "close but not quite", they'll go eventually, but it takes a lot of frustrating fiddling to get them connected. Fortunately, the OEM bulb sockets bayonet into the housing easily, so just reusing those gets past the connector quality issues. Fit into the vehicle was pretty much just-like-OEM, three bolts and a clip to secure and they look like they belong. I did have to re-aim them, they arrived pointed a good bit higher than I (and oncoming traffic) would prefer, but I consider that a given when replacing light assemblies. ... show more

Very attractive. Price was good. After reading all the reviews on electrical problems, I didnt take a chance and used the original wiring and they worked just fine. Fit was perfect. My only negative comment would be that the black horizontal styling piece across the lower third of the lens, cast funky shadowish blotches on high beam....not bad, but enough to bug me. Most probably wouldn't give it a second thought. Major improvement over my old hazy scratched up ones that wouldn't clear polish any more. ... show more

The headlights in my 14-year-old Subaru Outback were so milky that they looked like a frosted incandescent light bulb. On a dark night with the faded lines on the road we have around here, I couldn't even tell my headlights were on. It was almost impossible to see what lane I was in. If there was any oncoming traffic, it got even worse. Three easy to reach bolts and three wire connections and the old assembly came out. It took a bit of wiggling as the inside corner was catching on the bumper, but it came out. Reinserting took similar wiggling, but it was a perfect fit. Reconnect the three wire connections and screw in the three bolts, and I was done. Total time under 30 minutes (in driving snow). Not only can the headlights now light up the road, they were lighting up the snowbank in front of my car in the daylight. Wow. What a difference. I had to adjust them a little, but I no longer worry about my wife driving at night. Part of the reason I was changing these is not just the fogging, but the wiring in the old assembly was brittle and had loose connections, causing the headlights to go out. All the wiring issues were in the housings, so this fixed all of my problems. Thanks! ... show more

Looks great in my daughter's 2003 subaru outback vdc. Easy to install and fit great. UPDATE: After installing these headlights, I noticed my tail lights were not working, At first I didn't think there was any way the headlight assembly had anything to do with it so I spent another $130 and replaced the entire tail light assemblies. That did not fix the tail light problem so I took it to my mechanic. After diagnosing the issue, the clearance light connector in the headlight (which was included with these headlight assemblies) was causing a direct short and blowing the fuse. On this car, the clearance lights, tail lights and license plate lights are all on the same fuse. I tried to contact the seller and he supposedly contacted the manufacturer but the manufacturer said the headlight had nothing to do with the tail light and would not provide me with a new connector. I wish I had kept the old ones but I did not. I would not buy these again knowing what I know now. ... show more

Oh my gosh!!These are amazing and makes all the difference to my 2003 Subaru Outback. My car has over 200,000 miles on it and probably will last another 200,000. But the headlights had that milky look and hard for the lights to shine bright. Not any more with these replacements.
