  • Great tent for the money
Style: 2 Person
Delivery was not immediate, but close enough to say it was…to Alaska. Had it in my hands about three days after I ordered it. The tent is exactly what it says it is, a good four season tent almost purpose made for off road ATV hunts. Little heavy for walk ins by about 2 lbs. Eureka has always been a well made, durable tent. Tough if not the lightest but last for years and endure tough conditions. ... show more

  • Great Price for a 4 Season Tent
Got this for car camping with another person (I usually backpack solo), so I didn’t want to spend a ton on a rarely-used tent. I needed it to be large enough for two cots and two dogs, and warm enough for winter. This fit the bill perfectly. It would easily fit three people, or two coats easily as well. Easy to set up with color coded everything. A decent amount of tie down points. Plenty of ventilation for warmer fall or spring nights (I camp in the Ouachitas in Oklahoma and Arkansas so this will never see a blizzard; I camp on the gulf coast too and high wind is a concern, so I use four season tents.) A few things I want in a more expensive tent, but am Ok with in a more affordable tent: there is no pocket to tuck the doors into when unzipped; there is no way to attach the underside of the fly to the tent poles (like little Velcro loops that add rigidity); and no guy-out lines or points from the tent body thru the fly (ie, the fly ONLY attaches at the ground, which I like some connection between tent and poles during high wind settings). All around a great option for a (modest) winter tent with plenty of room. Nice colors too. ... show more

  • Definitely not light, but sturdy and warm AF
Style: 2 Person
I bought this tent for extensive usage in the Adirondacks and a trip to Alaska. During the summer it was perfect for the colder weather in the Adirondacks and when properly vented is not extremely warm either. During my trip to Alaska it was cold and nasty the entire time. This tent held up remarkably and I had some of the best sleep during our trip due to not freezing the entire time. I would not necessarily say that it is a "back packing," tent because of how heavy it is; however, if the weight is distributed between two people it is not so difficult to carry for longer backwoods trips. ... show more

  • Good solid all round tent 3/4 season
Style: 2 Person
A ti y bit on the heavy side for backpacking but could be split between two people. It works as 4 season then zip out panels for 3 season. Very complete solution including decent stakes and footprint. Nice balance between less expensive inferior tents and high end exotic tents on the market.

  • Great tent
Pros: plenty of space, very weather-proof, two doors with vestibules for each, good value. Cons: a little heavier than I would like, vestibules provide good ground space but virtually no head space, window pockets don't function very well. Happy with my purchase and will use this as my preferred tent for several years. ... show more

  • Great tent
Style: 2 Person
Great 4 season tent, would be great if it were a little lighter, especially for summer backpacking.

  • The only tent you will need
Style: 2 Person
As an avid hiker/outdoors person living in the PNW, you normally need to have 2 different sets of gear. We get 8-9 solid months of rain - 2-3 months heat/drought, but even in summer - it gets chilly at night and even on the hottest day of the year, you can camp up in the snow here - which is why it's amazing. You end up hiking with crampons/micro spikes, half the year, and the other half you are in layers - starting off in big jackets, ending up in tanktop. You have winter sleeping bags for camping - and summer sleeping bags for camping. I wanted this tent for it's ability to handle all weather. If you can cut your gear down to something that can handle everything - you dont need a back country tent, a winter tent, a summer tent, etc. tent is the ultimate solution - it's 100% all weather and can handle anything in the PNW, so it being the only tent you need is excellent! > Waterproof. So for me - this was huge because where I camp - it will rain a lot. The rain fly on this is way better than other tents. I like that it creates a space for you to keep your pack and wet gear dry too, if your keeping them outside. I dont keep mine outside, but i like that option. The rain fly covers the tent very well - unlike other tents I have, the biggest thing i have noticed that i like the most about this is that it's clearly designed to really work and keep the tent dry. The fly goes almost down to the ground - so it really really works at keeping you dry. I havent tested it in snow, but i imagine this would help with that too. it was also pretty standard to setup and easy to put on and remove. > Everything else about the tent is pretty standard, so no need to go over it - if your looking at this tent, you probably know about the basics of tents. It has the basic storage features etc. The biggest difference about this tent is the quality in materials/fabrics and that rain fly. Even the poles are well made though and better than other tents. So - it's basically about the materials and functionality. Looks wise - same as any other tent. > Built to last. So because the materials are so well made and it's all weather - this really is the only tent you would need and it will last a long time. > Size - it's kind of large for backpacking - but it's not heavy. The rain fly is pretty durable and larger than others, and the poles a little thicker etc. the tent is easy to carry, but it's about the size of a small duffel bag. For myself - I consider this no issue and worth it for the functionality of the tent. I have spent a lot of money on tents and have 2 others. I feel like I could get rid of all the others and only have this one now - so that.... along with being warm and dry on a mountain.... makes this tent totally worth it for me. I'd recommend it to anyone in similar weather settings. ... show more
