  • Good For the Price But Has Its Issues
Color: Purple
I got the purple Eurans tracker 50 days ago and have been using it every day. I can't stand wearing it at night so I sync the steps just before I go to sleep and take it off, put it in a drawer, and put it back on in the morning. There is no sleep mode so it is on all night. It's very bright and I find it annoying in the dark as it will randomly turn on. As a watch, a step tracker, and a heart monitor, it's great. I've been more motivated to be active. My friend who is a nurse told me that if the heart monitor is jumping around it may be a sign of an arythmia. It's sometimes good and sometimes, when I feel weird or light headed, it seems to have a problem getting my heart rate so I'm going to talk to a doctor. The issue I'm having is I've only had it a month and a half and had to already fix the buckle once. It also is giving me a red, itchy rash on my wrist despite not wearing it at night. I'm going to see if I can get a different band. My health insurance paid for this tracker. I find it the app a little annoying. It needs permissions that are superfluous and syncing is sometimes a pain. For the price though, it's been useful. ... show more

  • "Heart rate monitor" not useful
Color: Purple
The claimed "heart rate monitor" apparently doesn't do anything useful. I bought this primarily to be able to monitor my heart rate while walking. I was disappointed to not see a screen that actively tracked heart rate. I went for a walk, and while walking, switched to the heart measurement screen, which I already knew would update for while, but hadn't tested how long. It takes a while before showing a heart rate, so I walked on. When I checked again, the screen had shut off. No record of the measurement. It should vibrate when "the data is detected" and displayed. Nope. I thought I could check my history on the "details" graph, but nope. It only shows resting. The step count was good: my phone told me 797 steps, the watch told me 796. Obviously less than 15 minutes exercise, which the instruction booklet said someplace wouldn't count. Not sure towards what it wouldn't count, but since heart rate isn't counting anyway, does it matter? Kcals are reported on the "details" chart. Maybe they're using heart rate to calculate that, but I suspect it is calculated from steps (for walking). The vibrations for notifications are nice. I mute notifications on the phone, since to have them loud enough to hear frightens children and small animals and startles my wife. Walking with the phone in my pocket, or sitting with the phone next to me, I don't or can't notice vibrations, so getting them on the watch is almost worth the price of the watch. But I still need a useful heart rate monitor. I'm an old guy with diabetes and leukemia, so exercising sufficiently, without overexerting on hills or long stairways, seems important. My phone app isn't helpful, because while it is great for step counting, it stops counting heart points (based on pace) if I pause too long to take pictures or watch birds or avoid crossing a street out in front of traffic. I know my heart rate doesn't drop out of the target range in those pauses. Sometimes I come back from walking with zero heart points, but nice pictures. Sometimes I come back with 16 heart points and no pictures. It seems like other watches I looked at vibrated for notifications, while also putting heart rate on the screen. So there's really no need to keep this. It's kind of nice, though, if it does what you need. Though removing the strap (clumsily) every time it needs charging doesn't bode well for extended strap life. ... show more

  • At least it's a nice watch
Color: Black
I am often tired in the daytime and was looking for a fitness tracker which could tell me about my sleep habits. While that's a feature of this one, it doesn't do it...or does it quite poorly. Some nights it doesn't record my sleep. In the morning, it insists that I have woken up at 7:47 am every day that I didn't get up earlier. It also states that I'm falling asleep much later than I know I am. The not recording my sleep issue is vaguely acceptable as it states that if the tracker is poorly positioned, it won't track sleep. The time I fall asleep is vaguely acceptable as it states that it may take up to an hour before the tracker can tell I'm asleep. (Although, it's often more than an hour after I go to sleep that it starts calling it sleep.) But that it consistently says I wake up at 7:47 makes me doubt the accuracy of all the rest of it. A person doesn't always know exactly what time they fall asleep, but they know when they wake up! The heart rate monitor is kind of wonky as well. They state that it is within 20BPM of your accurate heart rate. So, when I open the app--which gets its stats from the tracker--the heart rate line is shown moving crazily between 50 and 70 BPM. I either have arrhythmia or the tracker decides to be inaccurate from one moment to the next. Finally, the steps counter. Now, this thing isn't an exact science. There are times when I am carrying stuff and don't get credit for steps because my arm isn't swinging. There are times when my arm is swinging and I get credit, but I'm not taking any steps. However, this morning as I got up from bed, went to the bathroom, came back from the bathroom, wandered downstairs and over to the couch (a journey which I know to be at least 60 steps), I got to the couch to find out the tracker had given me credit for only 10 steps. To be fair, I personally don't care; I bought this tracker primarily to track sleep and secondarily to track heartrate. One nice feature is that the app lets you customize your step goal; the default is 10,000 steps. The watch will vibrate and play a brief, cute animation if you reach your goal for the day. I don't like pulling apart the wristband to charge it; I always feel like I'll break the charging part right off trying to get the band back on, but fortunately, it only needs to be charged about once every 7-9 days. On the bright side, it has the date and time right. ... show more

I don't use the app. I basically use it as a watch and to get an idea of steps during my work day. It doesn't count steps if I'm pushing an order picking cart. I do like the size, color and battery life

Color: Black
I was worried about these but they fit my 7yo twin boys. I didn’t realize that you HAVE to install the app for them to work so my husband and I each had to load the app on our phones for them to use them just for tracking steps and the time. That was a bit of a bummer, but these ended up being their favorite Christmas gift! ... show more
