We have multiple Eufy Cam 2 Pro cameras and two HomeBase 2 systems. We purchased our first in December 2020. We were delighted and purchased more and more. We put some of the cameras outside and the rest inside. All cameras have been working perfectly, rain or sunshine. The cameras are very rugged, solid, reliable, and beautiful. The charging cables are high quality. Even the box and packaging are very high quality, reflecting what is inside. The cameras are very easy to install and very easy to setup using the Eufy app. Movement detection is outstanding. The videos and images are clear and crisp. The cameras and app are loaded with features. The camera’s rechargeable battery lasts a long time, close to a year in high traffic areas and much longer in low traffic areas. Two of the cameras are installed in high locations, and we added solar panels so that we don’t have to recharge. Customer service is absolutely amazing, very responsive and very competent. We have recommended the eufy cameras to our friends, who purchased the cameras and are delighted with them.

As someone who's worked in the security industry for 5+ years, I've been thoroughly impressed by this system. I'd say I have high standards. This camera has continued to work throughout numerous thunderstorms, record heat, and now with the solar attachment (they sell this separately) it is staying charged. Pros - *Video quality is very good and beats or at the very least compares to competitors. *The ability to set a siren off is a nice plus. This means if you're not home and notice something fishy going on, you can set the audible alarm off from your mobile device and even talk through it! *Set up with the Homebase was about as easy as it gets. I've experienced zero connectivity issues, just make sure your router or internet service can handle the added devices. *The app for the most part works very good. I receive a push notification with a thumbnail whenever it spots someone. I have this set to only notify me if it sees someone at night in my driveway. *Night vision works very well. This thing could pick up a clear face in absolute darkness I bet. Cons - *Motion detection can be iffy or slow. I configured a pre-set detection zone but the device still picks cars up going by outside that are not within the zone. *Sometimes it just doesn't pick motion up quickly enough. This may be because of the battery having to kick on and activate recording. Apparently this is a common issue with motion detecting battery operated cameras.

I've had a Eufy HomeBase (v2) security system for 4 years -- with 4 cameras and a motion detector - 2 cameras are 4 years old & 2 are a year old) .... rock solid reliability. Am a little surprised by the 1 and 2 star ratings here. FYI - motion detector is designed for indoor use but can used outdoors with a waterproof enclosure.
