Good design, first impressions good. However when taken out of packing the back panel was poorly attached and coming apart from frame and the hanging bar was bent and had to be replaced.

    • Esschert Mirror w French Doors
The paint wash quality of this wooden frame mirror is rough and thin. I sanded it down by hand and it came off easy enough. I wiped it down with a wet cloth and even more of the wash was removed. The removal of wash was quick. I noticed the wood is very smooth and I plan to paint the framework to match the new bedroom suit (cream)and this item matches my floral garden theme perfectly. However, if you want the rustic worn appearance, the wash will scratch off easily I think and needs tlc handling to keep it original. I am pleased with the fast removal of the wash, the design of this mirror is unique and the size is fine for a twin size bedroom chest of drawers. I can add a spray of greenery or flowers to accentuate the frame too. The bedroom is too small for a large dresser with mirror, so this fits nicely. The weight of it is heavy enough for me. I wanted more mirror than wood border, and with the shutters open, it definitely provides enough open space for serving its purpose too. The media could not be loaded. It’s a really pretty shutter mirror. Farm style. Beige chipped paint was the color I chose Not too big. Looks perfect with wall vases on sides. The shutter doors will stay closed if hung level I prefer them open. Hang above a table so they are not hit by person walking too close by them. the shutters stick out a couple inches in front. After reading other reviews, I decided to take a chance because I hadn't found anything like it anywhere else. This mirror is not white. It is more of a dark cream, almost tan. The cut-outs at the top of the shutters were not cut out; the shutters have slats as far up as the picture shows, but then they are solid. The quality is very cheap. The wood feels fragile, the finish feels chalky, and the hinges are small and loose. I haven't decided whether to keep it or not. The biggest issue for me is the fact that the shutters are not cut out at the top; I really like that look. Everything else I can live with because all I wanted to do was hang it on the wall, and the cream color still goes with my decor. ... show more

This mirror is definitely gray, not white. You can see it here, against a cream wall with white trim. I took off one star for being not as described. Other than that it’s great! Exactly what I needed to “brighten” a dull corner.

I bought this originally to put at the end of the hall,where the other “window” is. But it was small and awkward. I think it is super cute. The shutters don’t open all the way, so I reversed the hinges and put the doors upside down on the opposite side so they now open fully. I needed to because my boyfriend kept walking into it and knocking it off the wall...here in my hallway, it looks magnificent! 💗 ... show more

This mirror has a lovely design and works well in our outdoor shower's dressing room. Unfortunately the white paint is closer to a pale gray and the distressed look seems to have been accomplished by running a rough piece of sandpaper in a straight line down the painted surface. There was still sanding dust on the wood when it arrived. After the summer is over, I plan to repaint it in true white. We've had little rain so I can't say how well it holds up outdoors but so far, so good. It does have charm, better than a simple mirror. ... show more

Packed well, arrived in perfect condition. These mirrors are cute, perfect for what I need- a little reflective area with a bit of added interest. Not the highest quality, but perfect for an accent piece. The color is actually not gray, or cream as previous reviewers stated, but rather a peachy cream rustic look.
