If you’re looking for a Bluetooth version of the apple Magic Keyboard you’re not going to get any closer than this ESR keyboard case setup plus it comes with an actual protective case. Here is my experience with the original 2018 iPad Pro. Starting off with the CONS (mostly when being compared to the apple MKB) - This is not specific to this keyboard but every non apple Bluetooth keyboard I’ve tried with this iPad is every now and then the keyboard will disconnect. It is rare but it happens. - The trackpad isn’t as responsive as the apple MKB that is hard wired - Doesn’t charge the iPad like the MKB - Heavier than the MKB - Needs to be charged - It could be because of the included case but this setup is a little top heavy and can fall back if tapped forward. May need to press down on the keyboard while typing to prevent it from falling back if leaning all the way back. - Backlit keys need to be manually activated - No media keys. Missed opportunity Now on to the pros - PRICE. Even without the 20% discount, this setup is a lot less considering all of the features and the total package you’re getting. - Comes with a protective case. Usually have to pay an extra $30-$60 for a 3rd party case that is compatible with the Apple MKB - The build quality isn’t as solid as the Apple MKB but it’s the best out of all I’ve tried. There’s some flex in the keyboard but still feels like quality - Keyboard is pleasant to type on - Connects to iPad fast, there’s even an animation when connecting - Looks pretty close to the actual Apple MKB including having the used charging port on the hinge. - The trackpad is the most responsive of the other brands I’ve tried. It’s pretty good. - Able to raise the iPad position if needed. Makes a bigger difference for people with neck problems from looking down for so long. Not a huge difference but helps and this is the only setup like this I’ve seen. Not even the Apple MKB can do this. - Can place iPad in portrait mode - Has a flap to prevent the Apple Pencil from getting loose. This is a major pro over the Apple MKB if you use an Apple Pencil. My wish list: - Media keys. What a big miss - An additional port on the other side to connect a USB C cord between the keyboard and iPad to maybe offer pass-through charging Overall if you like the Apple MKB form factor but not the price I think this is your best bet. It’s not perfect but it more than does the job and is a great value considering it includes a case. The ability to raise the viewing angle of the iPad is great and unique too. The case is built really well. It is sturdy, with an easy functional design. It charges really quickly out of the box and is ready for use! It pairs easily too! The keyboard is easy to use and the track pad is a great feature, and works with a light touch. The screen tilt design and screen rotation option make it easy to read the screen, surf the web and watch shows. My iPad fits snug in the case and feels secure. I’m not sure if it is as designed as such, but the iPad can be oriented in both landscape & portrait mode. In landscape mode, I was able to adjust it slightly higher than normal as well. I did at my own risk but feels secure. While in the case, it can be detached from keyboard to use as regular tablet. it is a bit heavy for travel, but it is in line with the average weight of similar cases. Overall, it's a great case and I'd recommend it for personal, school, or business use - at home or on the go! For a third of the price of an Apple keyboard case, this is a no brainer. If you are like me and update your devices often, then why spend more than necessary on accessories that will not be compatible with the new device. ... show more

ESR Rebound 360 Magnetic Keyboard Case This was purchased for my iPad Pro 11 inch and I have been using the keyboard for just over a week now and and so far am happy with the quality and features of the product. I do have some complaints but given that I barely paid just over a third of the price of the Apple Magic Keyboard, these issues are relatively minor. Features: The keyboard case comes with a back cover for the iPad Pro. I specifically looked for this since I do want to protect the iPad from scratches and minor bumps and drops when using it away from the keyboard. The back cover is not as solid as a separately purchased back cover but it is adequate; the sides are soft plastic and do not grip the iPad as well as a separately purchased case cover. The cover does have an indent along its side that allows me to attach the Apple Pencil to the side and charge it. The back covers’s magnetic attachment to the cantilever stand is quite strong and works well. The keyboard keys work well and the key travel is good and not shallow; there is no lag in typing, and the touchpad is sensitive and all multi-touch gestures work without any issues. The installation of the keyboard was easy, and it only has to be carried out once. Subsequent docking of the iPad does not require the Bluetooth to be paired again. It is a nice plus that the magnets allow you to attach the iPad in portrait as well as landscape position. So far, so good. I look forward to using this iPad for personal use and for work as well; after installing Microsoft RDP, VDI software, and VPN software, I can use this for work in emergencies when I am away from work w/o having to carry a heavier laptop. Some minor disappointments: - As some other reviews noted, the keyboard backlight does not really shine through the letters strongly; the backlight shines though the edges of the chiclet keys - this works, but is not as nice as the the letters on the keys being lit up. - When the iPad is attached to the cantilever stand in its higher raised position, the stand becomes top heavy and a bit wobbly; you need to be careful.
