Good lord these reviews are the worst. “Action is too high” are you kidding me? It’s called getting a setup. Figure it out. I’ve owned my lefty EC-1000VB deluxe for over 10 years. It’s my go to guitar. I’ve bought and sold more guitars than I can count over the years, but you’re gonna have to bury me with this one. The next is fast. High quality. Great playing and it sounds wicked. That being said, it has EMG’s which are naturally muddy and high output. If that’s not your thing when you’ll want to do a pup swap or find a luthier that can do an 18v mod like I have in mine. Otherwise I can’t say enough about how much I love my EC-1000. If you’re think you want one, don’t even think twice. Do it. ... show more

Absolutely love this guitar. The neck is fast and made for metal. After I bought it it had some fret buzz but I took it in to get it set up and it's hardly noticeable. It still has a very little fret buzz but the amp doesn't pick it up so I can live with that. Just need a little adjustment on the tress rod. That's the only reason for the four stars. The EMG pickups are awesome as expected. The tone is superb from this guitar. It can handle metal, blues, rock or pretty much anything else. The guitar stays in tune very well and is quite comfortable to play. I would recommend getting this guitar. ... show more

If you're a collector, this guitar is beautiful. If you play, this will thing is very stiff. The bridge is set way too high and makes anything above the 5th fret an absolute challenge. It does have a great sound, but I wouldn't recommend it for anyone who likes to play fast.

This is my first $1000.00 guitar and it plays like a dream. I fell in love with the matte black finish and the gold color hardware. The locking tuners are great. The action is nice and low with no fret buzz. All I had to do was tune it and go. Can't beat EMG pickups.
