  • Pickup
the pickups in the picture show black, however when i received the guitar they are bright red.....not what i ordered Update** after a good while with this guitar it’s easily my favorite. Even the red pickups 😂

  • Mean guitar but not exactly as advertised
First off, not from USA. This guitar came from Indonesia. 2nd, Guitar came with RED pickup covers. Not black like in the picture. 3rd, From out of the box, there were some minor issues. Probably would be major issues to anyone who is not experienced with guitars. The volume knobs and the 3 stage switch nut and washers were loose in the box. The guitar was covered in some sort of sticky substance from headstock to strap lug. The majority of the “new guitar” plastic that protects the paint had already been peeled off. All of this leads me to believe that this guitar was a “demo” guitar that was probably hanging up in the stores showroom floor. Not the end of the world, just not “new” as advertised. I would expect to pay a little less for an instrument that’s been used and abused by every novice in Florida. I was expecting the guitar to be shipped in the road case that ESP shapes for each guitar. Fortunately, I’ve purchased a separate road case for a different guitar, but I suppose I’ll just use it with this one. Again, not the end of the world, but just know that if you order this guitar, better buy some guitar polish, a case, and be careful when you pull the packing out. My knobs and other hardware went flying when I did. This was the bad. Now for the good. It sounds like a LTD. I’ve never owned a LTD that disappointed me. The knobs are volume knobs for each pickup instead of the traditional volume and tone knob. The 3 stage switch can be utilized as a kill switch if you turn one of the volume knobs down all the way which is a cool feature. The gloss on the body is fantastic. It’s a sexy looking guitar even with the ridiculous red pickup covers. The guitar does have red pinstriping around the perimeter which sort of matches the pickups but they aren’t the same shade of red. The gloss is not applied to the whole guitar so the back of the neck and headstock looks a little off if you get critical. Finally, the pickups are NOT EMG pickups. They are pickups “designed by ESP”. Although they are not EMGs, it still screams. Just not as much as if they were EMGs which is what I was expecting. ... show more
