This is one tough esc controller. I use it in conjunction with Puaida powered skate wheels to power a personal rail cart to ride abandoned rails - not an easy ask for a consumer product like this. I have bought this exact esc few times already, and reason being is bc of the smoothness and nothing unexpected has ever surprised me. The specs are adequate for what I'm looking for w the board I'm commissioned to build. I love how the 4th gear is basically the same as 3rd except it's a more torque filled gear that'll throw you off if not ready for it and by smashing the acceleration fast from a dig. Anyways for the price and what you get it ain't bad at all just plug and play and the 30mph arena is there so you better not lose to a damn basic scooter

I installed this in my ACTON Blink S2 as the OEM controller has died. I chose this controller because it’s smaller and the handheld remote looks pretty cool with its display. Everything is basically plug and play except I had to swap on new connectors on my battery. The acceleration and braking curves are super smooth even at high settings. I also really like the handbrake feature that locks the wheels from rotating when at a standstill which can’t be achieved by just the re-gen brakes. I think I’m also getting better battery performance out of this controller compared to the ACTON OEM one (perhaps it’s more efficient or handles accel/regen better). Overall very satisfied with the product.

When I went into the controller settings to show voltage of my battery and switch kph to mph the remote suddenly disconnected from the esc and it refused to pair had a replacement send and it did the same thing

My meepo V3 shut off on me one day, I knew it was the esc because it didn’t beep or turn back on at all not even while riding. I bought this esc as a replacement and everything plugs right in. I’m back boarding again, acceleration is the same and so it the braking.

Worked well at first and after a day or so it disconnected and will not connect to the remote or turn on without unplugging the battery

This esc and remote have worked flawlessly and includes great features like included power button push to start 4 speed modes and 4 break modes also an odometer and trip meter. It has everything you need and the remote is comfortable for people with bigger hands.

I bought this to upgrade a Voyager Neutrino, an e-pennyboard you can buy at Walmart for $200, that comes stock with a Hobbywing ESC. The Hobbywing is very inefficient, with a top speed of roughly 8-9 mph and maybe 2 miles of full throttle riding distance off a 3000mAh battery, a single 350w hub motor and a 200lb rider. The Puaida ESC initially comes potted in soft, weatherproof silicone with a metal shield but there are four screws in the corners that can be accessed by easily peeling away the potting, after which the board can be removed from the shield and attached to the Neutrino's stock ESC mounting points, or any other board of your choice. After the upgrade, by simply replacing the ESC, the board has gained superior regen braking, smoother throttle control, and the motor runs quieter. As well, it is now capable of over 16 mph _while going uphill_. The motor (non-Puaida hub motor) spins up to an indicated 48km/h or 29.8 MPH. The running time has increased and the Puaida ESC is significantly more efficient throughout the battery's life. The regen works beautifully, the brake is powerful, the motor freewheels better and runs much cooler. The controller is very comfortable and easy to use, the screen is bright and the HUD is well laid out. I took off a star however because the included power button was poorly soldered and came apart during installation. I was able to use the board's original button fortunately, and the auto-on feature I'm pleased to report works flawlessly. Definitely a must buy for anybody with a single or dual-motor Hobbywing-based board. It absolutely improves all performance with no drawbacks.
