For what I paid for this little gem it surpassed my expectations. It’s constructed extremely well and should last for years and years and what a time saver. I bought 100 daffodil bulbs to plant this past October and the thought of being on my hands and knees with one of those little flower garden shovels digging 100 holes was dreadful because my knees aren’t what they used to be so I looked around to see what I could find to help me out and came across this little auger. This thing works great drilling out a perfect hole for planting. It doesn’t work perfectly all the time though but that’s only due to the soil which should be loose to begin with. It will catch if there are stones under the surface which is understandable and roots can be a problem also but keeping pruning shears close by can help with this other than that this is a perfect inexpensive tool for all your small hole drilling needs. I was able to drill out all 100 holes in 1/4 the time. I highly recommend this tool!

I purchased this item along with 410 bulbs (yes I’m a glutton for punishment) …. Relieved to have such a useful tool and I planted 225 the first day until the drill ran out of battery. Two thumbs up. Although my drill is powerful and my wrist is a little sore! Not bad for 225 bulbs however!

Goes into your drill. However, on every hole you dig, the end of your drill ends up in the dirt, so you will have some cleaning to do after you use it to get dirt out of your drill. This could have been avoided by making the stem 3 inches longer.
