  • Many uses
Color: Blue
When the hurricane went through our area (tragic damage) the power was out for over a week. The only way to charge a cell phone was to sit in the running car and use the car for power. With 3 cell phones in one house taking turns was inconvenient, to say the least. And the nearest functioning gas station was around 20 miles away. Not a useful option to have a working cell phone but the car out of gas. So, these were the gifts I bought our family to use. My son can also use it when camping or hiking. ... show more

  • Good little back up battery!
Color: Blue
Good little battery to charge the phones when the power is out, for what I have seen solar part works but has to be in direct sunlight. when not in use charge it once and month and your go to go.

  • Unable to stay on. Have two of them, same problem...
So I bought this power brick for a simple purpose, to power a USB fan to circulate air while I was camping in my car for a weekend. (Got a bin full of silica beads to remove moisture from the air) The power bricks worked great! For about 1 minute to 7 minutes and 40 seconds....... Then they shut off the fan. Shows fully charged, turns off. Charge it for 10 hours like manual says, still turns off after a bit. Still showing full charge.... I originally bought one of these and on day one, ran the fan for hours as a test, worked great. Charged it up overnight and went camping the next day. Noooooooope. Started turning off every couple minutes. About an hour of that and I'm done with it, just deal with foggy windows. I get back home, try a few days of testing, charging/ect. Nope, now it wont work for longer than a minute at a time. Try turning the light on, that stays on forever, but the fan turns off after, you guessed it, 1 minute. I order a replacement from Amazon thinking "Ok, defective unit, lets try again". I pull it out of the box, press power, it shows full charge. Want to guess how long it lasts? 1 minute.... Try the old one for S&G's, it manages to last 7 minutes and 40 seconds. I go back to the new one, 1 minute. I go back to the old one again, 1 minute.... I cant rely on this thing, returning right after I finish this review. Another thing worth mentioning out of sheer weirdness, and I took a picture to prove. I read the entire manual, it says to contact customer service team, or "After Sales Support Team" and "we will help you as soon." Yes, the sentence ends after soon. Fine, translation error, ok. But, there's zero emails, phone, address, any contact information at all for these "teams" to be able to 'help me as soon'. In fact, there's not a single company logo or name in the entire manual at all. It says "Powerbank" on the cardboard box it shipped in. Well, that's an item description, not a company. The company should be Errbbic right? That's what this amazon page says. And that's what it says on the item itself on this page right? Even other customer pictures shows the item with text "Errbbic" printed on the item. Take a close look at my picture, showing two recent products. That company text is missing. So I either received a knockoff product, or the company is realizing that the product doesn't work and is doing everything they can to distance themselves from it... Either way, returning. Hopefully this helps others in managing their expectations. And I hope you all enjoyed the novel. ... show more

  • WARNING: Questionable IP65 RATING...WATER INTRUSION!
Color: Blue
Note, I do NOT fully understand exactly what IP65 rating entails, but this is what I found online: "An IP65 rated enclosure gives protection against low pressure water jets from any direction, as well as condensation and water spray. It’s suitable for most outdoor enclosures that won’t encounter extreme weather such as flooding." If I were to go by this rating definition, I would say it's not IP65. I designed a wooden housing that would allow this charger to be exposed to sunlight but at the same time, keep the upper section sealed from liquid intrusion. I installed it for an outdoor project with this unit upright at about a 60 degree angle. After 1.5 days of rain, the inside got quite wet. Refer to my pictures. I was unaware until I noticed my light coming on without me doing anthing. I instantly suspected water intrusion which was exactly the culprit. I tore open the unit and voila, water was everywhere on the inside. After wiping the unit down and letting it air dry properly, all functionality returned. So if you think you can let this battery get pummeled by rain or get drenched, you are going to be in for a rude awakening. After opening it up and seeing how many openings there are to the inside, it makes perfect sense how water made its way in. The rubber seal used to keep out water will invariably let water in. There are simply just too many openings. Take the IP65 rating with a grain of salt. As a final note, I would like to reiterate that I am not faulting the unit. It was clearly not designed to be left in the rain, but one would think an IP65 rating would be able to given the definition. Rain is essentially a low pressure spray and IP65 ratings are supposed to be able to keep out water from low pressure water spray. Regardless, I am well aware that I may have used it in a way it was never designed to be used. As such, I, the user am just as at fault for doing so, and for this reason, I don't fault the unit. Having said that, I would warn anyone to think twice if you think this product will keep liquid out as it clearly does not. Use in wet conditions at your own discretion. As far as the solar charging goes, if you don't intend on depending on it, you wont't be disappointed. It's better to just pretend it doesn't exist. As a battery pack, it seems to work fine but it's no Anker. I bought three and intend to use them accordingly now that I know. As to longevity, having opened it up, I am not holding my breath; it's cheap, what do you expect? ... show more
