I waited around for a long time to get a standing desk and I wish I had done it sooner. The only reason I did not give this particular table five stars is because it is a bit wobbly when I type. I don't know if this is the same with other stand up desks or of this one is just flimsy. This is the only stand up desk I've owned so I don't have anything to compare it to. The only point of reference I have is an old-school, solid wood, restored desk that was made to last and is very sturdy and heavy. In comparison to that type of desk this one feels a bit flimsy and wobbly. Other than that I'm happy with my purchase and I still wish I had done it sooner. My current adjustable desk is 60"x30" and while it still works and I like it, the size makes it difficult to use in smaller spaces. So, I was happy when I had the chance to try the smaller ErGear desk. While size is the first thing I noticed, I also like the preset height buttons. No more trying to adjust with quick taps on the button, this desk lets me find the height I want, set it, and add it to memory. Related to adjustment, not having a crossbar between the two sides is another welcome feature. The linked 'driveshaft' is at top just behind the drawer so I can stretch my legs out as far as I like. It's going to take some getting used to less desk area, but that's not necessarily a negative. I tend to pile up things and lose track of what I need to be working on, so less space may help me be a little more organized. That said, I would recommend marking off a 44"x24" space and getting a feel for the dimensions - I'll be switching to a smaller monitor since the 24" depth puts me closer than I'm used to. ... show more

You 100% need a drill to set this desk up even tho it says you don’t. Lots of assembly and honestly wish I would’ve just gotten one at Costco. It has two parts for the desk top so it’s not really one surface like it seems like in the photo.
