The shipping box that arrived is as heavy as gold. I walked the box on one end into my home and to my room. I managed to do everything myself. The box had some minor damage but the desk did not. I used a hand phillips screw driver, not a power drill. It gouged a hole in my hand by the time I finished putting together the desk. I should of wore a glove. The set screw that screws into the shaft never tightened to a finish. As I screwed it in, it seemed to have no end to how deep it would go, so I just stopped screwing it when it was really deep and left it. I hope that's not going to be a problem. Excellent desk. Mine is all black. I've had it two weeks. My main concern was — will my drafting light pinch the wood desk too hard and cause damage. Fortunately the box had 4 rubber corner pieces that protected the 4 corners of the table during shipping. I used two of those black rubber pieces to act as a cushion between my drafting light clamp and the table corner section. Worked perfectly. I think the desk is strong and quality. The button control panel is not lit up thank goodness. I did not want this table to give off light while I sleep at night in darkness. The drawer is good for phone, micro devices, pens, glasses, etc. It's not large, deep or industrial strength, and there is nothing to stop it from pulling all the way out and on to the floor. I bought this to replace an old standing desk I had when I moved to a new apartment. I wanted to get a bigger desk this time that had a drawer for convenience of stashing some pens and chargers that I plug into my laptop I leave always set up on my standing desk in my main room at home. This ended up being a major upgrade from my prior unit, and I'm very happy with it. Nice big surface. Very attractive looking wood surface. The drawer is simple, small, and rather flimsy, but it's perfectly adequate for what I wanted it for, just storing a few pens and eyedrops and a couple charging cables for convenience. My old standing desk was a bit wobbly, which was always a slight annoyance, but this one isn't wobbly at all. Completely stable and unmoving while I'm using my laptop on it. I almost always use the desk in a fully standing position, so I rarely ever use the motorized setup that allows you to move it up and down to different heights that you can preset and save (as buttons labeled 1, 2, 3) or do manually, but I'm sure that would be convenient for people who want to switch back and forth between standing and sitting heights. I got this product as it was a bit cheap compared to other ones. I really like the product, especially the color. The hooks on the side of the table are sturdy and can hold a backpack really easy. I did not like the drawer that they have provided, only because the color of it was not matching with the desk color. Assembling this desk is really a big task. You need two people to do this as this is a really heavy one. The only defect I can say about the product is that it shakes the monitor on the table, when I lift or bring it down even though I didn’t keep much stuff on it (I only have a laptop & a monitor, some photo frames on the desk. It came on time and the box was in good shape. The instructions were easy to follow and all of the parts were labeled and in their bags. The instructions were step by step like the plastic building block sets that shall not be named here. lol. Overall, very good value for the money and I think it will last many years. First, received item a day early. So great delivery time. Desk takes a little time to put together, but instructions are easy to follow. Day 2 so far so good. Everything fictions well and programming was easy too. Only small negative was the cheap storage draw, but can’t beat item for the price.
