These are great for erasing find lines in tight spots without accidentally messing up other parts of my drawing. Easy to sharpen also. Just use a regular pencil sharpener. One eraser pencil will last quite a long time.

I’m new to drawing and amused by little things. So I was very excited when I discovered these. They sharpen easily in my electric sharpener and my handheld sharpener. They get in the small areas to allow you to erase only what you want. However, when sharpened, the eraser is so bendy that it is nearly impossible to erase very tiny areas. I wish the eraser part was not so flexible.

So, there I was trying to order something for same-day delivery, and Amazon told me I just needed to spend another $2.01 to qualify for this option. I decided to let the site recommend some items that would meet the requirement, and these eraser pencils popped up based on some other purchases I recently made for drawing. I figured, for the price, I might as well give them a try, as they seemed to be the kind of thing I've always wanted but didn't know existed. I'm so glad I got them, because I've never been able to use erasers so precisely to create tiny highlights when drawing textured surfaces. They're like a surgeon's scalpel for artists who work with graphite. My only concern with them, and it's exceedingly minor, is that they don't sharpen to as fine a point as regular pencils. But, even when the tip is left a bit blunt, these things still work very well, so much so that I can't even knock off a star for this quirk. I wish I had known about these long ago. For the first time, I was able to create very fine highlight details without any frustration whatsoever. Thanks to Amazon for suggesting them!

I am new to colored pencil work (this is my 4th rendering). I am a professional watercolor artist and decided to try this medium for working in a smaller space and to try something new. On this fox portrait I had some areas that were too dark and also areas I wanted to etch in some more twig branches. I had high hopes for this pencil, but it just isn’t “gritty” enough to get through a dark patch and down to the white paper. Don’t get me wrong; it’s very nice for gentle lightening and blending of a small area so I am glad to have it in my arsenal. For complete removal of dark layers down to the paper try the Tombow sand eraser (also purchased on Amazon). You can see directly to the left of the fox where I cut in a few branches. It worked exceptionally well. Both erasers can be kept sharp and clean with a sand paper pad. I recommend both products, but for different uses.
